Review titled Amazing Midwife Team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chris & Megan Blick - Posted on 26 May 2024
We had the immense pleasure of having our second son born at the Warwick Hospital under the care of the maternity team this month (May 2024), alongside having our first born there as well back in January 2021. Frustratingly I am not allowed to name specific names, but I hope they know who they are when reading this review and know that I am Indebted to them for helping my family. Our midwife’s during delivery were absolutely amazing, caring, attentive and understanding throughout and helped to support, guide and comfort my wife and I during the whole process. The actions taken by the consultant and anaesthetist were swift and measured to ensure the health of our son and to my wife were paramount when complications during active labour began to surface. There are too many people to mention, that I owe a huge amount of gratitude to, but I want to say a huge thank you as well to a lady (who helped deliver our first son as well) she was present again for the birth of our second son, and ensured she came round the wards in the preceding days to check up on mother and baby. These little actions make a huge difference to give us parents comfort and create, whilst we are only in the hospital for a few days, a sense of family bonding with them. The only way to describe this lady is she is the pillar of the department and I hope for the sake of every family having a baby through this hospital, is that she never decides to retire. For anyone looking to decide on maternity services and unsure what hospital to go under, I could not recommend the Warwick maternity team highly enough and would urge anyone to go there. Thank you all again so much, lots of love. The Blicks

Review titled Incredibly helpful, efficient and informative

I have attended urology department with a problem which began last year and for 9 months had no communication with them until last Christmas when two new consultants took up my case and the department seems to have undergone a huge change. I can't recommend them highly enough, or thank them for the efficient way this department now operates, the seamless communication and the very speedy result. You are amazing.

Review titled Excellent Experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jo Hilton - Posted on 25 April 2024
I was referred by my GP to the Surgical Assessment Unit. From the outset, the whole experience was very positive. The staff were lovely, I was kept informed and involved in my care and a treatment plan put in place. Having 24/7 access in between and afterwards was amazing. I really cannot praise this service highly enough. Thank you.

Review titled Fantastic Care at Warwick Hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mark Hooper - Posted on 25 April 2024
I was emergency admitted to hospital by my GP for gastro pain on Friday morning on the 5th of April, which was later diagnosed as bile duct stones, gallstones and jaundice. I went into hospital via A&E, where I was assessed and triarged into the hospital, they could see that I was in a lot of pain and gave me pain killers to make me more comfortable, they were very efficient and compassionate, and professional. They then passed me onto the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), which the on call registrar had reserved a bed for me, after a call from my GP. I have to say the care was outstanding and the nurses and staff were brilliant, they assessed me, did all of the relevant checks and made me ready to be admitted to the surgical ward that evening. They explained everything to me, gave me pain relief and made sure that I was as comfortable as I could be. They also explained all of the possible issues to me and my wife, and that they were trying to understand what the problems were. The Willoughby ward cared for me for the next six days. I had various scans starting on the Saturday afternoon and and then through to an MRI on the following Monday, this was to confirm the problems. I then had a procedure to clear the blockages on the Tuesday, the gastro consultant who did the procedure took me through the scans to show the issues and explained everything to me, and what they were going to do to sort the issue. I then went back to the Willoughby ward to recover for the next day or so until my release home. From minute one entering the hospital, to the moment I left, the care was outstanding, compassionate staff who totally looked after every need, the ward staff on both willoughby and SAU were exceptional, as was the consultant. A special mention to the support staff on Willoughby ward who did everything for me, both reassuring me, making me feel better by being so engaging and caring, I cannot say enough good things about them, especially the nurses and the ward support staff, they work so hard and were fantastic during my whole time in hospital, changing beds, feeding patients, washing and dressing people. Your staff are an absolute credit to the NHS, thank you for everything! I am now on the list for an operation to remove my gallbladder, I am now a lot less worried about having this operation done at Warwick Hospital after this experience.

Review titled Great personalised service

Both during my last visit to Warwick Hospital and my recent visits to both the A & E and the Endoscopy departments I have experienced the best personal care possible. All the staff I met showed a “Customer Care” response that is sadly lacking in many commercial organisations. Thank you all!
