  1. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was taken to Warwick Hospital by ambulance ( which arrived promptly) after having chest pains and breathlessness. I was taken straight on to the emergency ward where I was given various tests in a timely manner then later moved to a transition ward for further tests. All the staff were brilliant and very efficient and caring. The whole hospital seemed very clean. Even the food was good!

  2. Review titled No answer to my telephone call

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2023

I telephoned the hospital (01926-495321) and as I did not know the Physiotherapy Dept extension I waited, as requested, on the line for an operator. After about 4 minutes the dialling tone went dead and I was cut off. The second time I tried, I was successful but why should there have to be a second time?

  3. Review titled Poor service and no information.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 December 2022

Arrived at 8.30pm told there could be a 3 hour wait. Not a problem as it was a wound that needed to be dressed, 7 hours later and no one knows if we will be seen, reception is no help, no information and the see and treat section was closed. Poor management is the primary reason, lack of staff the other.

  4. Review titled The NHS working well

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Following an urgent appointment with my GP, blood tests and a CT scan (at Stratford Hospital) I quickly received notice from Warwick Hospital that my procedure (a cystoscopy) would take place on the 16th December. There was then a cancellation and so I attended on the 8th at 8.30 a.m. That I was able to leave by about 9.45 with everything completed and a clean bill of health speaks for itself. The service I received was exemplary. From check-in to discharge all stages were dealt with efficiently , professionally, informatively and with proper patient care. This unpleasant procedure was explained in sufficient detail and carried out competently. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of staff for their excellent care. It was a great relief to my wife and me that all of this was completed within 4 weeks of the initial symptoms. There were no significant delays at any stage. Thank you.

Thank you to the staff hope you have a great Christmas.

  9. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My husband and I experienced amazing service today in Accident and Emergency the nursing staff were excellent and the determination to diminish my husband’s pain was acute. The surgeon was thorough and we left feeling well cared for and confident to manage his pain at home. When we were told to come ‘straight back’ if the pain grew again was reassuring. Thank you Warwick Accident and Emergency.

  10. Review titled Double Partial Knee Replacement Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Andrew Finding - Posted on 03 January 2023

I wrote to the hospital's Chief Executive 2 weeks after my surgery following a home visit by the nursing and physiotherapy team to remove the staples from my knees. In my letter I said: I am thrilled with the progress made by your teams for my benefit. Why: • My wait for surgery, just over 3 months, has been as minimal as I would have thought possible; • The doctors, physios, nurses and administrative staff have shown a very high degree of professionalism, efficiency, care, courtesy and cheerfulness; • Precious little time was wasted during my 36 hour stay in your hospital in Warwick with plenty of evidence to show that the processes were completely and effectively integrated; • The ward, Greville, was comfortable, peaceful, clean and appropriate: the food was good too; • The briefings I have received prior to my arrival at the hospital and since have been excellent and helpful: I commend, in particular, the booklet “Your Personal Guide to Knee Replacement”. My experience has been in sharp contrast to the drip, drip of misery of the media's coverage of the NHS. Clearly there are problems and serious challenges. But, it is far from being all bad or broken. I could not have asked for more and want to thank the entire team for my wonderful, professional, kind and thoughtful treatment.
