  1. Review titled Great treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended A&E with my mother who had injured her arm. She was assessed, sent for x-rays, reassured and sent home. She said the three x-ray girls were absolutely fantastic, friendly, professional, and when she was assessed in A&E, although she was extremely anxious, she was made to feel at ease and reassured.

  2. Review titled Surgical assessment

    by Jolex93 - Posted on 09 September 2022

After waiting four hours in urgent care, my daughter was sent up to surgical assessment. No one greeted us when we arrived and after waiting for an hour, we eventually found a member of staff who told us to sit in the waiting room. Basically, we were left for another two hours. Not one member of staff could tell us when my daughter would be seen. This was late at night and we had had nothing to drink or eat. Eventually the lights went off in the corridor and we were left sitting in a side waiting room. We went to look for a member of staff and couldn't find anyone. So we decided to leave, as we were obviously not going to get seen and could have been left in the waiting room all night. My daughter had severe stomach pains. I know they are busy, but not one member of staff could tell us anything and what was the plan. We were totally ignored and felt like were a burden to them. They were not interested, lack of communication and staff that seen my daughter as a inconvenience. Why send patients to surgical assessment if they are not even going to acknowledge you? I thought the whole purpose is so that they can assess patients. To just ignore patients and leave them sitting in a waiting room is not acceptable. Shocking lack of care, very worrying and in my opinion, the fact that we just had to leave without being seen is negligence.

I came to the hospital yesterday because a dog had bitten my hand. I was seen promptly and had excellent treatment and was most impressed with the whole experience. Thank you.
