Visited the urgent care centreon a Saturday morning following a fall. Was treated so well by all staff - reception, triage, x ray but especially the senior nurse practitioner. Her calm manner, professionalism and experience meant any stress I was feeling soon went. Her explanation of tests carried out and action required was excellent. Following diagnosis of a broken bone in my hand she expertly fixed a cast and provided a splint for my other hand. I was registered triaged x rayed and treated in under 3 hours. In an age where the national health service is under pressure the centre was calm and efficient and my experience was nothing but positive. We are so lucky to have such a centre in Trafford. Well done.

I attended the orthopaedic department in December 2023 and February 2024. I had had a bad fall on stairs at work and my knee was badly swollen and painful. The first time I was seen and examined by a nurse, she referred me for an mri scan. I attended again yesterday for the results of the scan, again I was seen by a nurse but she didn’t examine me this time despite swelling going down my leg. I’m just wondering is it normal to have an appointment with a consultant then get seen by a nurse?? Apart from this everything was very good. Lovely hospital and friendly staff.

Response below: "it is possible for the patient to be seen by a consultant and then seen by a nurse, because the consultants work with a team of others which includes a specialist orthopaedic nurse, and physiotherapist. Great hospital the consultant nurses and everybody else involved with my care was 100%. I had a total knee replacement and was put at ease from start to finish,excellent experience and I now have no fear or concerns about getting my other knee replacement. I highly recommend this hospital they give everybody 100% care and that is special. Just fabulous.

Went with my husband for an outpatient appt. Have waited almost a year for this to come through. Consultant very helpful and finally getting what he needed via NHS. What stood out today was how very helpful every member of support staff was. Asked a few nurses where to go and they were so kind. Person on outpatient desk was fabulous. Working alone as others off sick apparently; continually apologising for delays and doing absolute best to help everyone. Also staff member who wasn’t actually on that dept but actually helped an old person by transporting them to where they needed to go. Top marks NHS. This is why we love you so much!

We attended urgent care last Wednesday (03/01/24). My son presented with a painful arm after playing football. We booked in , we were almost immediately triaged , he had an X-ray , review and cast in situ in 45 minutes. Not only was the care extremely prompt , the nursing staff , radiographer were extremely compassionate and professional. Important to share positive experiences .

I had a wonderful experience from the staff at Ward 12 and theatre at Trafford hospital which includes all the nurses, doctors and csw who looked after me while I was admitted for my surgery. You get the same type of care and approach from each one of them which really matters. Thank you once again.

The most amazing hospital I've stayed in,I can't put into words how each member of staff go above and beyond with their patients,I had a TKR two weeks ago and the care,support, expertise was second to none,also pre op and post op.After having a traumatic experience many years ago in a hospital setting,these guys have helped so much to turn that memory around.Every department I encountered was consistent with their personable skills.Thankyou So much for Everything.

I fractured my wrist badly in May 2023. I had to wait three weeks for a hand surgeon to have space on the operating list, which was not good, so he had to re-break the bone and I was in plaster for 9 weeks in total. When the plaster was removed, I couldn't move the wrist to begin with due to so much pain. But I saw an outstanding hand therapist, who was kind, empathetic, and knew exactly what I needed at each stage of my recovery. She had different ideas each time I visited her which moved me on to the next stage. Initially I thought I wouldn't get much movement back, but due to the hand therapist I can now type, cycle and play the piano again. Thank you so much!

Arrived 10 minutes early and was told the clinic was running 1 hour late. The receptionists were polite and allowed me to go away and come back 30 minutes later. When I was finally called to the appointment, the doctor was obviously in a rush and didn't listen to my concerns at all. I was told they had none of my scans, so couldn't tell me anything anyways. The doctor was very dismissive, seemed to just want to get rid of me and get through his list for the day. Obviously hated his job and didn't care about helping
