Review titled Superb staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I can't thank the doctors and nurses on the coronary care unit enough for the caring professional way they have treated my father and myself. Astounding care and knowledge at a very difficult time for dad and me.

Review titled Excellent service

I visited today to find out my diagnosis can I say that the Consultant I saw was so caring and professional he explained everything to me and told me not to worry which was very reassuring. He is now referring me to the gastrointestinal department following the results of my ct scan and bloods to find the cause of discomfort in my stomach whilst still under his care . The service of care care I have received so far has been excellent everyone has been so kind and helpful well done to you all .

Review titled Made a massive difference
by Andy R - Posted on 05 January 2024
I recently visited Scarborough A&E as I had dislocated my finger playing football. The service was very busy and the team were working very hard. I wanted to share that the relational experience I had with the team. I noticed what others were experiencing was also fantastic and made a massive difference to the feel of a busy service. Thank you all

Review titled Being well looked after for the second time
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Judith Liddle - Posted on 08 December 2023
I would like to thank all staff of the EAU for their hard work and caring nature. Doctors and nurses and all the ward staff could not have looked after any better. Having being there overnight I was given all available tests and put at my ease. Everyone was working so hard in a busy situation. They doctors took time to explain everything to me and my husband. I left knowing they had arranged for further tests and I would be seen again for follow up. Thankyou for all that you do!

Review titled Different staff shared information well
by Primrose42 - Posted on 02 January 2024
I was admitted today for removal of a polyp under GA and just wanted to say thank you for really good care. Every single person I met with was extremely kind, professional and highly competent, which was very reassuring as I was incredibly anxious. I felt well-informed (different people took time to answer all sorts of random questions) and listened to, and treated with dignity during a highly undignified procedure. The different staff shared information well. It felt like a very orderly and well-organized environment and I felt confident in my treatment. Well done and thank you to the whole team.

Review titled Family liaison officer
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Wendy Morris - Posted on 22 December 2023
Living in Wales I'm unable to travel to chestnut ward . The ward is busy and the staff very helpful when they can be. Thank god for the liaison officer who updated me with dad's personal position and assisted amazingly in trying to organise a discharge date for dad over the Christmas period. Just speaking to her has helped relieve my fears as dad is unable to communicate in a way I can understand. I now feel someone is there to be an intermediary when the situation becomes problematic. Thankyou

Review titled Outstanding care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Linda B - Posted on 19 December 2023
Outstanding care from cardio respiratory and a&e. Having a heart condition that was monitored closely by my cardiologist I eventually needed open heart surgery. My cardiologist in Scarborough recommended Sheffield and at the end if October I had surgery. Since returning my recovery has been good except from one setback. I had pains that didn't fit the normal surgery pains so visited a&e. The consultant reconigised immediately it was pericarditis and started treatment. I was able to leave the hospital within 24 hours. I felt I was in safe hands and my recovery continued. I had a follow up heart scan with a few days showing my recovery was on track. I have another scan this week. I can't thank Scarborough hospital enough for their fabulous care.

Review titled Excellent service in A&E today
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 November 2023
I arrived having been sent from Whitby Hospital this morning following likely rib fracture complications. Check-in was fast; immediate BP monitoring; triage nurse and then doctor who set up for CT and bloods. All went smoothly and quickly. Discharged with full explanation and care recommendations by 1pm. Between 9am and 1pm I have been in two hospitals 17 miles apart and can’t fault the treatment in either of them. Thank you.
