Review titled Yet again, fantastic caring service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alison Brady - Posted on 16 July 2024
3rd time in 6weeks my daughter has been admitted. The care and consideration shown to use was fantastic from A&E to PAU. We never felt rushed or that we were wasting their time. All staff were caring and kind despite being under immense pressure (especially in A&E). I can not thank them enough for their care, compassion and attention. Thank you to the amazing staff, you are all heroes

Review titled Dirty and unloved
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 June 2024
I recently spent a day in the emergency department and was shocked at how dirty the place was. It felt like I was in a 3rd world hospital. In the toilet the bin was overflowing with paper with paper also sat on top of the bin and on the floor. At no point was I asked to use hand gel during my stay. I had to ask for something to eat once I had been there for several hours and had to ask for a pillow. The staff are very good though - just overworked. When I left I was told I had to come back in 2 days time (Monday) at 10am for an appointment. The doctor made me feel like something to be scraped off her shoe. Does anyone at this hospita have any idea how difficult it is to get there at this time and hope to park? Especially on a work day when you are not feeling too well. I cancelled the appointment and will not be re-making it. I have told my wife not to call an ambulance again if I fall ill during the night as I do not want to go back there. Also - how am I supposed to review this hospital without using the capital letters that make up the name?

Review titled Great service in RuH’s Accident and Emergency Unit
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gerry W - Posted on 19 July 2024
My wife suffered a significant injury to her leg on 28th June last, while we were holidaying from Ireland in the Bath area. We then attended RuH’s A and E. The courteous, professional and efficient service we received from all the staff whom we met there, was admirable and impressive. Within 2 hours of entering the hospital my wife was given a wheelchair, registered, assessed by a nurse, sent for an x ray, had x rays taken, was seen by not one, but two, doctors, and, before discharge, was given crutches and advice on follow up. The service was even more admirable as a strike by junior doctors that day seriously impacted staffing levels in the hospital.

Review titled Outstanding midwife’s
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ben johnson - Posted on 07 June 2024
Just a quick review and comments to say how outstanding and amazing all the staff in the birthing centre at the ruh were. We had a very long and complicated labour. the midwife’s look after my other half outstandingly she was in labour for 27hrs and that whole time they were there for her. One midwife stood out hands above all others. Unfortunately we cannot name but hopefully they read this you are a star and we couldn’t have done it without you. She supported me and my other half the whole way through Thank you for everything Ben

Review titled exceptional care and kindness.

by Jayne Seymour - Posted on 13 June 2024
My dad has melanoma and his cancer nurse is just wonderful. We can call her anytime with questions and she either answers them on the spot or finds out and comes back to us. It is so reassuring to know we have this extra support. She has helped me several times when I have been worried about dad. I never feel she is trying to rush me off the phone when I have called. Unfortunately I was unable to leave your name. Thanks ka you're the best.

Review titled So professional and caring
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sue - Posted on 23 May 2024
Yesterday I had to visit your Gynaecology outpatients department feeling nervous and to be honest terrified I was greated with a smile and very lovely lady. I was told to sit down and explain why I need to be in your hospital as it was my doctor who sent me. Just wanted to say how kind and caring your team was and as I cannot mention any names and to be honest everything was a blur and I never remembered. So I wanted to say if any patient is worried about going for treatment they will be cared for like I was yesterday. Thank you once again for your caring, kindness and professionalism in the job that you do to help us all. I could not of had any better treatment anywhere else. Thank you Gynaecology team

Review titled Canadian Travellers in need of care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Desmond Brady - Posted on 24 May 2024
We were treated respectfully and very timely .My wife had fallen and dislocated her shoulder and suffered a very bad ankle sprain. The staff were extremely efficient from beginning to end. This was the reception, triage, X-ray technician, the various nursing staff members. We were very pleased ,everything we asked was treated with great care. My wife’s pain was resolved and we are home and she is seeing a physio therapist which had been recommended by the hospital in Bath. Thank you to everyone involved with caring for my wife.
