  1. Review titled Stuff working tirelessly

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended A@E with my son at in the night this week . Was very busy in the children’s area . All staff worked so hard to get children seen and treated as quick and efficiently as they could . Even a comedian doctor making waiting patients laugh and smile .

  2. Review titled Couldn’t be happier

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michelle - Posted on 02 February 2024

I cannot thank the maternity staff enough! I was very anxious, especially at the beginning of my pregnancy due to past miscarriages which lead to needing IVF treatment. I was seen for regular, early reasurance scans, as well as additional scan when I got myself in a panic. Every time I was met by a very understanding and empathetic midwife, never did I feel silly or judged. When it came to labour all staff that seen us were amazing. I can’t thank the lovely Irish midwife who came in right before my baby was born and said ‘if she’s not born on this push she will on the next’ that was just what I needed. The staff on the ward after were just as amazing, there on hand for help but also to bring cups of tea etc. There really is a lovely, caring, consistent approach throughout all the maternity services. Thank you so much for helping me bring my 2 gorgeous children safely into this world!

  3. Review titled I received SMS text request following A&E treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Leonard Fawcett - Posted on 02 December 2023

I received SMS text request for my assessment of the emergency treatment I received on 1 December. When I attempted to respond, I was informed by my service provider that there would be a charge for replying to the NHS text. I can report to you that the treatment I received on 1 December was excellent.

The team processed me from blood samples through ct scan to results in approximately half a day - the staff were amazing, every consideration was made for my wellbeing and to ascertain my health needs. I am so inspired to see the dedicated work of our health service and the great medics and nurses who dedicate their lives every day to taking care of us. Thank you Ruh team !

  5. Review titled 1st rate care and service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graeme Dunn - Posted on 29 November 2023

I was admitted early morning on 23rd november into philip yeoman ward for a complete hip replacement with complications as I have terminal cancer. I was first on the list for surgery due to the complex nature of the operation. I was given a side room which was extremely pleasant as that area and undergone a refurbishment. the anaesthetist came to see me to talk about the risks and possible issues and then one of the surgical team came. I was whisked down to pre-op at 8am and came around in post operative care at 3 pm before being taken back to my room. from start to finish everyone that attended to me were faultless in the care and attention they gave me. other departments came to see me over the next few days and their care and compassion was equally as good where I felt they went above and beyond the normal level of service. my grateful thanks to all that I had contact with, you were wonderful and in particular the post operative X-ray department and the discharge unit and drivers who got me home safely. I had been extremely worried about the surgical procedure given it’s complexity but my mind was put at ease by all who I came across in my short stay. It is now up to me to get myself fit and reasonably healthy . Thank you ruh bath for giving me the opportunity.

  6. Review titled Very efficient and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tim Walker - Posted on 05 November 2023

We went in with my 2yo to ED with difficulty breathing. We were seen in 10 mins and treatment started in 30mins. Really effective and all done with so much chirpiness and care.

  7. Review titled Brilliant heart attack care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Burgess - Posted on 14 February 2024

I am so grateful for the services of 101, Ambulance, and Royal United Hospital. I had a heart attack at around 6.15am on a Monday. Calling 101 at 6.30am, once my family history was known, an ambulance was called on my behalf. Arriving approximately 6.45am, after two tests I was diagnosed with heart damage after a attack. Calling forwards to the Royal United Hospital, the A&E department were ready for my arrival at 8am. Immediately I was moved to cardiology, tested, and had a stent fitted. I arrived on the cardiac ward for recovery at 11.30am. At all stages I was kept aware of what was happening, and why. Every member of the NHS staff I had contact with were superb. I feel lucky and privileged to have had such excellent care, which continues with excellent weekly rehabilition sessions. Thank you.

I was admitted on 31st October in A&E, assessed in triage, taken onto the ward in the Medical Assessment Unit / Direct Assessment Area where I stayed overnight. From start to finish everyone that attended to me were faultless in the care they gave me. Thanks to all that I had contact with, you were wonderful.

Came in following an accident. Seen rapidly by triage nurse and then sent to be treated. Lots of information provided. Shortage of nursing staff in the Majors dept.

  10. Review titled Good Service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Visited on a Sunday morning with my daughter who had hurt her arm. She was assessed, X rayed and treated in around 2.5 hours which I thought was really reasonable. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks!
