  1. Review titled Superb experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stephen Parish - Posted on 02 October 2024

After eating some nuts yesterday I experienced a terrifying reaction and fortunately my son was around to dial 999. ( I doubt that I would have been able to). The ambulance arrived within minutes during which time the telephone operator provided advice and reassurance. The paramedics were fantastic providing calmness and further reassurance before taking me to the hospital in Guildford. The treatment that I received from the A and E staff there from the junior orderly to the senior medical staff was a breathtaking experience, they were all so professional and competent and my recovery was quick and reassuring. I am so grateful to them all for providing such a service from the initial call to the discharge a few hours later. I hope I made my thanks clear to them all but I don’t have any of their names and it is almost frustrating that I can not thank them all again publicly for providing a service which in my view could not have been bettered and which they should all be proud of and we , as a country, should also be proud of and very grateful for. Thank you to our wonderful National Health Service. Stephen Parish, Cobham

  2. Review titled Outstanding endoscopy unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christy - Posted on 04 October 2024

I’ve visited the endoscopy unit several times and each time I’m always impressed with the staff, their timekeeping and communication. During my last visit, I was seen in good time, the doctor, anaesthetist and nurses were simply outstanding, really putting me at ease and taking time to address a problem with my veins. All in all, I’m very happy with the experience and the department are a really gem.

  3. Review titled Failure to provide assistance

Rated 1 star out of 5

by JOSE FRAILE - Posted on 02 October 2024

Failure to provide assistance My daughter is studying her first year in neighbouring Farnham at Uni of Creative Arts. Yesterday, 1st October, she went to the hospital with plaques in her throat, fever and discomfort that made her barely able to move. She is 19 years old. She has a student visa for the United Kingdom. She applied for a GP that same day and she still hadn't been assigned one when she went to the hospital. The process takes 5 days. As a non-British citizen we have had to pay social security for the next three years to cover any eventual medical care needs. A girl with little experience goes to Guilford hospital by taxi from Farnham making an effort and the person at reception did not allow her to be seen, she was not attended at all, her case was simply to give her a prescription for antibiotics for her tonsilitis. The person at the front desk decided not to attend her and forced her to return home without a prescription. A disaster that we have solved thanks to a doctor friend who lives in the UK and who had to drive three hours to Farnham last night. We think this is a complete lack of attention. Where is the code of ethics? Very bad on your part. I would feel ashamed if this happened in my country.

  4. Review titled Wonderful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vicki Revie - Posted on 01 October 2024

My husband had a fall this morning and was attended by 2 lovely paramedics who took him to your accident and emergency dept. Each member of staff who looked after us, reception, nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, porters and pharmacy were polite, kind and professional even though the department was very busy. I work in health care and am aware how challenging the environment is currently. The whole team was a credit to the health service , I could not speak more highly of how they all conducted themselves, communication was clear and we were seen by each member of the team fairly promptly given the current constraints on the service. Thank you for your service, from the Revie’s.

I would to say a huge thank you to the staff in orthopaedics when myself and my resident who has advanced dementia were left stranded due to transport, they were rallying round to see her something to eat/drink and also trying to get us home as quickly as possible. Thank you so much again 💓

  8. Review titled Couldn't recommend more

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Phoebe Dobke - Posted on 24 September 2024

I went to an emergency GP appointment on Sunday, then A&E for about 8 hours waiting for a bed and finally to the Milbridge ward the following day. Being admitted and the discharge process were quite long but all staff were amazing and very apologetic about the wait and conditions in A&E (especially as I'm pregnant). Although I didn't get much sleep that night the service I received was amazing. This only improved once I was moved to the Milbridge ward, staff were so kind and caring with incredible patience for some more difficult patients on the ward. Such a shame our hospitals are so underfunded as the staff really do deserve better, it's amazing they can provide such a high quality of care considering their resources.

  10. Review titled Such a wonderful experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Dani Lewis - Posted on 30 September 2024

I wanted to send a message praising how wonderful lady who gave me my recent vaccines for whooping cough and rsv during pregnancy. Your ai checker says I can’t include her name but the initials are cf. Not only did she remember who I was, but she went out of her way to be kind and explain exactly what the vaccines were for and what it meant for me and my baby. When I mentioned that I wasn’t sure where the maternity unit was in the hospital, she went out of her way to show me exactly where I would need to go and what would happen on “the big day”. We spoke about my ultrasound and came to check in with me afterwards to see if I was having a boy or girl and celebrated with me afterwards. Such a wonderful member of staff. She’s an asset to your team. Thank you.
