  1. Review titled Caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Julie Kendrick - Posted on 04 November 2022

I struggled to find exactly where I was going, but every member of staff I asked for help was so kind and helpful. When I used the mobile breast screening service, I couldn’t praise the staff enough. The member of staff who looked after me was amazing. She was so kind, considerate and compassionate.

  2. Review titled Transfer from one hospital to another via private ambulance.

by Floence Ellen - Posted on 05 October 2022

My husband was collected by an ambulance driver who was in a rush and told the staff that if he wasn't ready they would leave without him. My husband told them that he had an infection in his spine and asked her to be careful of banging into anything as it caused severe pain. Once in the ambulance as they were pulling away their mannerism was very much about themselves and no concern for the 3 patients. The ambulance was not driven with due care for the passengers. As roundabouts were approached their driving was not suitable for carrying patients. My husband asked them to take care at the roundabouts but they took no notice. He arrived at the new hospital in more pain than before. My husband is a retired from the emergency services but was a class one driver. He now drives coaches and buses. He takes pride in his work with the public. He stated they weren't suitable to be driving the public around. It is not like my husband to be critical like this. This driver was from a private company. My husband was left angry and vulnerable. He was left in unnecessary pain.

  3. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Following referral for CT scan a mass was detected on one of my kidneys. Quickly came in to see surgeon who took me in very quickly and had keyhole surgery to remove kidney. My recovery and time on Day Surgery ward was exemplary. All staff were first rate, showing dedication, compassion. They were reassuring and had time for every patient.

  4. Review titled Outstanding Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nigel Hotchkiss - Posted on 28 September 2022

My father was admitted to the Respiritory Ward 22r and subsequently moved to Ward 24 due to centralisation of services. This made no difference to the care and treatment he received and also the kindness shown to our family. It quickly became apparent that we were at the point where my father required end of life care and he was treated with the utmost dignity, respect and care to the end. There's no way for my family to really show our gratitude for the way we were looked after and we would like to thank especially the staff on Ward 24 for their kindness and constant care. The NHS gets bad press for various reasons, but we have only ever received the very best of care when it was needed and for that we will be forever grateful. Thank you.
