  3. Review titled Very good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by ECA Barrett - Posted on 16 July 2024

I recently required admission to ROH for spinal surgery. My care in out patients, preoperative assessment, theatre and on Ward 1 was outstanding. All of the staff involved in my care are a credit to themselves, the hospital and the wider NHS. I hope they are proud of themselves and I hope that they know what a difference they make to people like me.

  4. Review titled fed up of waiting

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Although I have had surgery in the past at this hospital which went well I am not happy. I am in a lot of pain and was sent for an MRI 5 weeks ago by community hub. I am still waiting on any results , phoned today and was told its taking 6 to 8 weeks to get an MRI result with a further 1 or 2 weeks added onto that before they get in touch with result . I am in a lot of pain, I am seeing a private physio to try and sort it as desperate but we need those mri results to get physio exercises correct. its a mad waiting time. I am so desperate considering trying to borrow the money for a private MRI rather then wait another 4 or 5 weeks for these results

  6. Review titled Can Do Attitude

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jacqueline Tsinopolos - Posted on 20 May 2024

I was in the Royal orthopaedic hospital for over 3 weeks, so in that time I got what I believe to be a true picture of this hospital and its staff. I have nothing but praise for all them. From housekeeping to the truly talented, highly skilled Consultants, Medical doctors , Nurses and Auxiliary staff, a 'can do' attitude, emanates throughout the hospital. Automatically, this positivity contributes towards a comfortable experience for the patient. Personally, I experienced complications after a standard hip revision surgery and I found myself in HDU - they too were absolutely marvellous. I will never forget them. Last but not least, as a foody I was pleasantly surprised at the choice and quality of the food, especially the soup ! Keep up the good work, you are an amazing group of people.

I would like to thank everybody for the wonderful service I was given for my stay in ward 3.From Reception when I entered the hospital. Theatre staff including Surgeon, Anaesthetist, Nurses. Ward Doctors, Nurses, Physios, Cleaners and Kitchen Staff for good food. Not forgetting My Consultant, who all played a part in my recovery from a Hip Operation. Nothing was too much trouble, What a great hospital.
