  1. Review titled Amazing team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Faye - Posted on 05 October 2024

I can not compliment the people who looked after me enough. From the surgical team, anesthesiologists, nurses and health care workers. Everyone was so kind and patient and made an uncomfortable experience into a really positive one. Every single person was so empathetic from making me laugh to calming me down when I was a little paniced. They all deserve recognition for how wonderful the service was. They were all absolute gems.

I attended my follow up Urology appointed today, at The Royal Liverpool Hospital. I was seen on time by my Consultant. He explained everything about my care with compassion and understanding. He was very friendly and quickly put me at ease. I was made to feel special and that my treatment matters greatly to him. I would say to anyone referred to their department, that the treatment you receive will be exemplary and you are in the best place for care and compassion.

I had a colonoscopy earlier this week on Wednesday afternoon, desite being an anxious type of person, I was put at ease by very nice and friendly staff. They went about their duties in a very professional manner. I cannot speak too highly of the hospital and felt fine the following day. Once again thanks to all the staff, keep up the good work.

  6. Review titled Wonderful team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was so worried to go to a&e and spend hours waiting for no reason, but i really felt listened to and within 8 hours the staff had given me pain relief and were preparing me for a scan and surgery. All the staff: nurses, porters, anaesthetists, doctors, ward staff- were incredibly kind and nice and just do their jobs superbly. Thank you so much to all of them for making me feel safe and an all round successful appendectomy, especially the on call surgery team at midnight and the ward 5d team :)

I would like to thank all the people I came into contact with during my recent treatment within the Colorectal Department at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. I cannot praise them highly enough from the surgical team through to everyone I came into contact with on the ward. Their professionalism, empathy, understanding and generally just making me feel safe during my time with them and not forgetting their fabulous sense of humour which was so fantastic. Thank you all for everything, I really appreciate how hard you all work and I am so grateful.

  8. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had food trapped half way down, rang 111, they rang the A&E dept, sent me in and once there I was seen in 5 minutes, where two nurses attended me, on taking blood and the other fitting muscle relaxant drips, again within 5 minutes of me arriving. I was there for 3 hours while the problem was sorted, but was monitored and advised al the way though. Best A&E service I have ever had. Big thank you to the team.

  9. Review titled Rude staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Clare Kay - Posted on 22 May 2024

I attended with my sixteen year old daughter who needed an ultra sound scan. I was told first by the nurse who called her that I couldn't come in room with her. I asked my daughter if she wanted me in there. She said yes. I said she's under 18 so I'm coming with her. On entering room I was again told by the radiographer that I wasn't allowed in. Again I said my daughter is 16 abd she wants me in the room. I was told I cpuld stay but they would have to pull curtain across. I felt this was really odd given my daughter is under 18 and requested I be in the room with her. The attitude of the staff was awful and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Anyone is entitled to have a chaperone at appointments and especially minors under 18.

  10. Review titled the staff on ward 4a are just incredible

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by M Walsh Family- bed 9 - Posted on 31 May 2024

Staff on ward 4a were so caring and kind the entire time my nan was in hospital. Each day we got to see the impact they had on my nan and how comfortable she felt with their care. As I can’t name names I will leave a separate review internally but the nurses, health care assistants and also the Pallative care nurses who came to ward 4a for my nannie- thank you for everything. You made an incredibly hard and sad time with my nan a little bit easier as we knew she was being well taken care of. Thank you so much. You are a credit to yourself and I wish you the best for the future. M Walsh Family - Bed 9
