I have tried over several days to contact ward 401 to check on my farther this ward is virtually uncontactable I have tried from 8am until 10pm and have records on my phone of the number of times I have tried to get in touch the least is 15 times the most is 31 this is totally unacceptable for a frontline hospital

  2. Review titled Very efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Dj Miles - Posted on 06 August 2024

Called into the Elective Hub today for plastic surgery at the last minute due to a cancellation. The senior sister was great at putting me at easy and the lady in theatre kept me calm as I was awake. Great Service in and out in 4 hours. Thanks to all involved. Told on discharge when follow up would be and when to go for stitches out. Given medication in Recovery no waiting at pharmacy, such a bonus when not feeling 100%. Thanks to all involved

  3. Review titled Easiest blood tests I've had in my life!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 August 2024

Hi, there wasn't a specific thing to click on for the blood room so I'm leaving a review here. I went today, 22/08/2024 to get alot of bloods done, I was dreading it as I usually end up like a pin cushion with bruises due to my rubbish veins, ( not the staffs fault). I'd like to thank the nurse who did my bloods, I was in and out so quickly, virtually pain free and also had a laugh because she was also laughing about her stool being too high. Also I'd like to thank the volunteers there that drove the hospital buggy, and the helpful volunteer on the blood room door. I hope this helps others to be less nervous about having blood tests. Thank you! (-:

I went to the emergency department with a heart attack suspicion, then was moved to the medical assessment unit and the on the 302 ward. All the way trough my very stressful journey, every single staff member was amazing. I felt cared of and I felt important. The ward 302 people, you are stars. Every single one of you! Thank you so much for your support.

  7. Review titled Awesome

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    1. In Surgical Assessment They worked very hard and very efficiently. Especially the man who seemed to be in charge. 2. They sent me to ward 308. Staff wonderful. It was an eye-opene to see the man who swept the floors - thoroughness amazing - perhaps an indicator of your whole approach. Had UTI. took >7 different bottles of antiobiotics cure it. reminds me of when in the Godfather, they try to assasinate Godfather "They put 5 shots into him and he's still alive!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by April - Posted on 17 June 2024

I can't commend the staff on these wards enough for their amazing care for me whilst I was there over the last few days. Every member of staff was kind and patient nothing was too much trouble, from the cleaning staff to the registrars. Special mention to the young apprentice nurse, on ward 307, 8 hr days x 5 days a week still smiling at 16 years old pure dedication. Thank you all.

  9. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rob Mitchell - Posted on 25 May 2024

After being admitted as an emergency I can only say what an excellent team of medics and all personel including iss from the top down. Its good to know when the chips are down this team pullout all the stops. Only spoilt by the waiting time from the pharmacy and very little involvement with the consultant discussing my post operative condition. That said, a memorable experience.

  10. Review titled Kind, friendly paediatric staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 May 2024

We ended up on the Paediatrics Dolphin ward when my son was admitted for emergency surgery after a visit to the emergency department. The Urology staff, theatre staff and ward staff who looked after him were kind and compassionate. We stayed overnight on the Dolphin ward and they made our stay as pleasant as it could be under the circumstances. A special mention to the health care assistants, nurses and play therapists. Thank you!
