Some of the navy blues in this department need to consider a change of professional. Attitude, conduct, patient safety and experience the worst ive ever seen it. Will be making referrals regarding fitness to practice. Health care support workers are excellent- kund caring and compassionate, though how they can be considered a 'support' given that they are leading the way in patient care, is beyond me.

  4. Review titled Long wait times

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 January 2023

I was in A&E due to a few emergency issues I suffered including my heart. The first 2 times I was seen within the first hour but then it was just a check every 2 hours. 11 hours wait time and the number in A&E kept going up with hardly anyone being seen from the walk in side. I was only waiting to see the doctor but that didn't seem to be happening for anyone waiting. The chairs are not comfortable for a wait that long and when you have to attend alone due to the hosptial not allowing anyone with you then it is hard to go toilet.

  5. Review titled Impressive Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 December 2022

Really impressed with the speed and helpfulness of the staff in A & E. I attended with my girlfriend who had a suspected broken arm. She was seen by triage within an hour, then sent to X-ray where she was xrayed and sent back to A & E within 25 mins. On return to A & E she was told her arm was broken and was put into a cast, again within the hour. I wasn’t looking forward to going into A & E but was pleasantly surprised by their efficiency and politeness. Thank you to all the staff at Queens

  7. Review titled Excellent experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am grateful to everyone who helped me through my experience, ambulance crew and staff in A & E. I was treated with kindness and respect, and during the hours I was in the unit I observed the same treatment consistently between staff themselves and their treatment of other patients. I felt re-assured and in safe hands throughout. I know its impossible to be specific but I do want to record my grateful thanks to the unit.

Arrived 10.00pm. Triaged at 12.30am ish. Treated at 5.30am ish. Left at 7am.....8hours approx....I am 78yrs old. I was in some discomfort. Seated on split plastic chairs all that time waiting. Hot drinks machine out of order. No food in other machine. Disorganised and chaotic in the treatment area. Didn't see any management walking around managing the chaos. Why couldn't I have been given a treatment time appointment then I could have perhaps gone to get something to drink during the eight hours. During this time people were arriving in some considerable pain and being asked to wait for two hours in pain before being triaged. Why do human beings treat human beings in such an inhumane way. Absolute shambles certainly had my eyes opened and now believe what I thought was press hype.

  9. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ian Lane - Posted on 14 December 2022

I attended the Endoscopy Department at Queens Hospital Burton on Trent for a gastroscopy and was delighted with the service I received. All of the staff involved were extremely friendly, professional and took great care and time to guide me through the procedure and to explain the results I don't believe I have ever been better cared for in a hospital environment.
