  1. Review titled World class hospital.A credit to the NHS

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stephen John Williams - Posted on 13 October 2022

I had been waiting for the first of 2 spine surgeries for some considerable time and was lucky enough to be called in last Friday for Acdf, performed by the wonderful Mr F and his team. From the moment I checked into the Wellcome Short Stay Unit until discharge I was incredibly impressed with how professional, caring and empathetic all the staff were.A big shout out to the cleaning staff, tea ladies etc also(they never get enough praise). I was actually in hospital a bit longer than planned and I did have a few emotional "low" moments.I'd like to particularly thank a certain male nurse for supporting me in my hour of need. I would have no hesitation in recommending my surgical team to anyone who has major spine/neuro issues.

  2. Review titled MRI department at QE hospital

Rated 4 stars out of 5

As a patient I found the MRI scanning department a very positive experience. I was anxious prior to attending as I get claustrophobic. From the minute I was greeted by the lady on reception to the radiologist I felt totally reassured I was in safe hands. You made it possible for me to complete the MRI with contrast. Thank you

  3. Review titled Amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emma McGovern - Posted on 12 October 2022

I was sent to a and e by 111. They reviewed me and took good care of me sending me home with medication. Hours later I was called back in and the problem was dealt with and operated on and sorted. I was home 2 days later. The care I had was exemplary. Everyone was kind and caring from all departments-a and e, the surgical assessment unit, theatre staff, ward staff, porters, the scan department. The system ran so efficiently. I was incredibly impressed and really proud to have this hospital as a beacon of light. So grateful to have them all.
