  1. Review titled fantastic treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Janet M Riggall - Posted on 07 January 2024

an Xray at louth urgent treatment centre revealed I had a right open fracture of the olecranon(undisplaced). Lincoln were unable to treat me, due to possibly needing a skin graft Queen's Medical Centre, agreed to accept me for treatment. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, I had superb treatment. I was given a bed as soon as one became available & I had my operation at 12.30, the following day. Thanks to the skill of the surgeon, who was able to stretch the skin over the open wound, there wasn't the need of a skin graft. I can't thank the hospital enough for all they have done for me. Every member of staff, treated me with dignity and respect. I was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday 13th December. I had to return to the fracture clinic for 2 more Xrays, to check on the healing & to have the stitches removed. I begin physiotherapy treatment at my local Lincolnshire hospital. The only visible sign of the fracture is a slight scar, so thank you so much for looking after me Janet

Rated 5 stars out of 5

In on day surgery, the ward staff are great. You might expect along wait until going for surgery on the day. I had an anxiety attack as the day went on. The staff & surgery team team were great. Made me feel in safe hands. When it came to my turn for surgery, the team talked to me to calm me down , feel asleep & came around feeling fine...just a little hungry. Back on ward, they check you give you a drink & sandwich.. I am proud of our NHS & the team on the ENT treat you like a person . A big Thank you for taking great care of me.

  3. Review titled Never Heard Back

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Gemma - Posted on 12 June 2024

I went into eye casualty at the recommendation of my optician in December. After a 7 hour wait I was told I had swelling in my eyes which can lead to excess pressure in the brain and was needing an MRI. I then had the MRI 3 days later. 2-3 weeks later I had a call from the doctor to explain that there was express pressure in my brain and would need to have an appointment with a nurse. It is now June and I have not had an appointment and my symptoms have started to arise again. I have called to speak to someone about an appointment and get told they are putting me through to the team, it rings for about 2 minutes then cuts me off. Can I please have a call back on this please.

  4. Review titled Sonographer answered all of my questions

    by stareq75 - Posted on 18 December 2023

I attended A23 Outpatients for an early reassurance scan due to complications in my last pregnancy. I just want to give a massive thank you to the sonographer who saw me on two occasions over the past couple of weeks. She was extremely thorough and took so much care to check everything. She explained things so well to me and answered any questions I had and I felt nothing was too silly to ask. She did a brilliant job of showing me the screen and what I was looking at. Me and my partner feel so much more at ease after seeing everything is ok. I wish I could remember the sonographers name but she really is a credit to the team :) Thank you!

  6. Review titled Very Good

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nathan - Posted on 21 November 2023

I had rung 111 to explain about my fall, I'd damaged my nose and mouth. Arriving in A&E they were efficient. I was soon seen by a nurse. They gave me an ECG to check my heart, I had a brief and helpful meeting with the doctor who explained what tests and procedures needed to take place. These all happened and each member of staff was so helpful. Thanks

  8. Review titled Exceptional care.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Wybraniec - Posted on 26 May 2024

I was rushed from Shepshed to the Qmc at 6am after falling over a banister rail and down a flight of stairs. From the moment I arrived at A&E the treatment and attention to detail that was shown by the staff to me and my wife was exceptional. Within a sort time I had been scanned and had 19 stitches across the top of my head. Then up to major trauma. What a revelation, this was more like a 4 star hotel. (Sorry but no 5 stars as no spa!) The 24 hour care from the doctors and all the other staff could not be faulted, only blood pressure checks at 3am became a bit tiresome. The food, once the menu was fathomed out, was tasty and varied. It was found that I had numerous spinal fractures and general bruising. Unfortunately it was found that I had advanced prostate cancer which had metastasised into my spine. The care with which this news was given to me and my family was with care and consideration, a big shock to all of us. This care has now transferred to the City Hospital who are looking after my long time care. Here again the staff in Urology and Oncology are exceptional in passing on their expertise in an easy to understand way regarding my condition and treatment. Living with a cancer will never be easy, but with the help that I have received, life is becoming less fraught. I don’t know what the future holds but I know that there are health professionals in Nottingham who will be there when I need them. Thanks for everything.

We came into the A & E with our little boy who had issues with chest and his struggling to breathe. We were seen by a Dr who was so super kind, listened & handled the situation with kindness and sensitivity. He listened and was so good with our boy. We couldnt be more pleased with the help and advice and reassuarance . I appreciate its so busy in the A & E but the way he handled our boy and our situation was so good and really grateful for it.
