After not being able to get doctor's appointment , called 111 for abvice, was told to go straight to urgent care at Mri queued for 20 mins to be told I'm in the wrong place even tho my text message said urgent care dept, then sent to the disgusting little prefab building to que again, 3.5 hours later to be seen for 2 mins by triage to then be told to take a seat and wait for doctor, I asked how long and was told minimum of 4 hrs (wow) the triage was abrupt , disinterested, with a could not care less attitude, at this point I just left without being seen as I have other commitments like work and paying bills, still suffering, if it was not for the lack of care 18 months ago by mri I would not be in this position, after today's experience I think it's time for legal advice, also been trying to get doctor's appointment for the past 3 months with this issue, no wonder people are unesscerelly dying, no communication and treated like time wasters in this section/dept of the Mri, No dought the generic response will be we are experiencing long waits due to x y and z, well here's and idea, get some decent staff, put people in order of urgency and make the ones with a poorly finger or snotty nose leave, triage is not fit for purpose here. Looks like I'm just going to have to get worse to the point where an ambulance is req in the future . shame on you nhs poorly run dept..

Thank you for comments following your visit to the Emergency Department (ED) at MRI, we are very sorry to hear that your attendance did not meet the high standards that are expected for our patients. The ED at MRI is currently undergoing refurbishment and rebuilding work of its current facilities and the prefabricated building area you refer to is a temporary building currently being used as our receiving area. You have not specifically informed us of the problems within this area but we are aware that improvements are required including an increase in the cleaning and some protection from the elements needs to be provided for patients whilst they are waiting to enter the building. Please accept our apologies for the long waiting time, At present, MRI, like all ED’s across the UK is experiencing high volumes of patients presenting, and whilst the ED and the wider hospital have taken steps to redirect patients to the most appropriate service (including same/next day Urgent Treatment Centre appointments, Same Day Emergency Care and Patient Initiated Follow Up) at times there is an imbalance between our ability to see patients in a timely manner, particularly those of lower acuity. Should you wish to discuss your experience with us further please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@mft.nhs.uk quoting reference number PO22/0085.

Left with little to no information on when I'll be seen, feeling horrific and needing urgent care and assistance, I've got to wait roughly 8 - 9 hours to see a doctor :/ in what world is this acceptable :(
