Cannot fault the way my daughter was received by the children's A&E and then onto the Sunshine Ward. All staff were very professional, caring and sympathetic.

I'm very happy with the service provided by Kingston Hospital. My 95-year-old Mum is being well looked after, all the way from A&E to theatre, and now the on ward. The staff have all been very kind and efficient. Thank you.

I have a blood test every 6 months to keep an eye on a condition and each time I go it’s easy to book, no wait, very friendly staff and pain free blood test. The lady checking me in today couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Thank you so much!

I went to have a blood test at the Outpatient phlebotomy department and the team there were very kind. They made sure I had water and even gave me a little chocolate, and were sympathetic to the fact that I'm not very good with blood tests! Lovely team!

  8. Review titled Don't feel I was listened to

    by HFM89 - Posted on 07 December 2023

I was referred to Kingston Hospital Gynaecology for ongoing issues with Endometriosis and a new issue of irregular periods. I saw 3 junior doctors in this time. Firstly, I explained my personal history with the first doctor. I explained both sides of my family had abnormally early menopause, and as my periods had become irregular this was a concern for me. I was told I most likely had PCOS and was referred for a scan. I said I do not have PCOS, I have been tested for this under 2 years prior and many times previously, yet the doctor would not listen to my relevant medical history and sent me for a pointless scan which confirmed I do not have PCOS. I was then permitted a hormone function test which was reviewed by a second doctor. I explained I had started taking the pill to regulate my periods, they had said when it was booked this would not impact the results. This doctor said the results were abnormal and was I taking contraception because that would skew the results. Clearly, again, I had not been listened to. At my final appointment before discharging myself with yet another doctor, I said I had stopped the pill due to side effects and my endometriosis symptoms were causing issues again. The doctor said if I wasn't willing to get the coil (which in my opinion is barbaric and I have not seen any evidence of it helping endometriosis), they could not help me. That was the end of the appointment. I sat in the toilets and cried until I felt ready to walk home. When I received a reminder for my follow-up appointment I called to cancel and discharge myself. I am still struggling and do not know if I am perimenopausal in my 30s as the doctor just refused to listen to me. I felt they had an agenda, they wanted to stick to for period pains and would not pay any attention to information they were given to help them find an actual cause.

  9. Review titled Excellent experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was referred to the walk in clinic for a chest xray today at Kingston upon Thames Hospital. After hearing about long waiting periods in hospitals in the media I was considering not going. However I did with novel in hand expecting to wait several hours and to get a bit of reading done. To my utter delight the whole process took just under 15 minutes. Once I presented the referral to the Radiologist reception I was called within 5 minutes. Then another 5 minutes in the xray waiting before I was called in by a very patient person and had the chest ray completed. The whole process took less time than what it took to travel to the hospital on the bus. It was a most encouraging experience and rekindled my faith in the NHS. Thank you. Needless to say I didn't get any reading done.

  10. Review titled Wonderful help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited Kingston A & E this morning with a broken wrist. I was quickly directed to the Urgent Treatment Centre where I was looked after with minimal delay by four very helpful and lovely people who made an anticipated painful event as pleasant as it could be. Thank you to all of you for your kindness.
