Ward 25 (Children’s Surgical) are just fantastic, the care my son has received after arriving at A&E with appendicitis was just superb. All the staff have cared for him brilliantly, they have put his anxiety at ease and been so gentle with him. Fantastic team. Thank you so much

Review titled Fantastic care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was at accident and emergency with my mum who has severe dementia. As she was not eating or drinking she was sent there for tests. The level of care was brilliant. Each and every member of staff treated my mum so lovely. The tests were done thoroughly and so my mum was able to get back to the care home where she feels safe. Thank you for treating her so well

Review titled Bad attitudes
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Kerry - Posted on 11 May 2023
I brought my friend back to see ENT as treatment not working. Sat for 2 hours before triaged. Attitude of staff was horrendous. No one cared what was happening in the waiting room. Was triaged and told can't see ENT doctor would be dr from a&e. Only treatment she was getting was pain relief, which we waited 30 mins for. The way we were spoken to by nursing staff was not pleasant. Spoken down too and made to feel like we were wasting there time. As a member of the NHS I wouldn't dream of speaking to anyone the way we have been. I totally understand staff are overworked but there is no excuse for there attitude we have received. This is the 2nd time she had attended a&e in 2 days and the service received is appalling. Think in future we will attend another a&e department some where else

Review titled Friendly, supportive, and professional
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a procedure in the children’s and woman’s centre today. I was really uptight and worried. The staff were amazing, caring, supportive and professional. They took the time to put me at ease, and were caring throughout the procedure which helped me tremendously. Great job.

Review titled Amazing people, a credit to our NHS
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was certainly not expecting to have an ambulance trip to the hospital when I called 111 for advice regarding my foot this morning. But I've been blown away by the professionalism and human centred care and compasion I recieved. From the incredible paramedics, to every lovely and wonderful member of staff taking care of me at the centre, I cant thank you enough. Like the vast majority of the public, I am truly grateful for all that you do, and know that you all deserve working conditions fit for heroes in return.

Review titled Terrible Hospital
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been an out patient at this hospital for two, nearly three years. All of my appointments are regularly cancelled and I have had three different consultants due to the department having a high staff turn over. My appointments are regularly cancelled and recently it took just shy of twelve months for my six month follow up appointment. After seeing my new consultant for the six month follow up that was delayed by a year, I was told he would see me again in six weeks. As regular as clock work, a few days before the appointment it has been cancelled and I have now been given a new date some 14 weeks after the original appointment. I have now decided to speak with my gp and request referral to a different hospital for my ongoing diagnosis. I would not recommend this hospital, they are very unorganised and appointments are pesistenly cancelled and pushed back. The constant churn of consultants is also frustrating.

Review titled Paediatrics practitioner amazing!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Abbie and Ted - Posted on 07 April 2023
Unfortunately we didn’t get her name, but the lady who treated my son today was amazing. I can’t thank her enough. After a second trip to A&E( first being at a different hospital) she treated my sons pulled elbow injury carefully and thoroughly. After a night of hell he was finally able to move his arm. Whoever you are thank you so much!

Review titled True excellence
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Holly Tunnicliffe - Posted on 22 April 2023
Giving birth alone was a decision I made over a long time and when I had exhausted other options and was something i felt nervous about. My midwives made my experience incredible they listened to my wishes at every stage, the mixture of knowledge, compassion, experience and true love for the job made sure I never actually felt alone These two women (midwife and student) are the type of care you can only dream of, their ability to make me feel safe but also totally in control was nothing short of amazing. Being supported by these two incredible women as I brought my daughter into the word is a memory I will truly cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you can not ever cover the debt I owe these two inspirational ladies.

Review titled Sexual health department
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 April 2023
I would just like to write after being treated in the sexual health department recently. Every single one of the nurses/doctors that treated me were incredibly caring and sensitive. They could sense my nerves and treated me with respect and care, making me feel safe, seen and comfortable. I wish I said my thanks in person but I hope this review reaches them instead. I am so, so grateful for their work and patience.
