Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had to have CT Scan at mobile unit unfortunately is was broken so had to be seen in the main hospital, the nurse pushed me in a wheelchair as i have problems with walking. After the scan another nurse took me all the way to main entrance. They were so polite and very helpful wonderful staff.

  2. Review titled Unhelpful ! Even my doctor cannot resolve issue !

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 April 2023

Like the recent 'anonymous' review, I was left in tears. I have had my ears, nose, throat problem a year now and was recommended to transfer from University hospital, Norwich list (70 week wait) to James Paget. Sadly not told I would 'lose' the previous 3 months of referral. My ear, nose, throat problems are now often really distressing. I've had calls to apologise for the 'wait', but now, somewhat late was told my doctor's expedite cannot be actioned - letter insufficient or some such. I have spoken today twice or more with the surgery and my doctor says the letter is adequate, and to 'take it up' with the hospital myself'. Quite honestly I am very 'low', my hearing poor, and often the feelings in my head are very peculiar. I just keep wanting to sleep as it is so tiring. Thus I do not feel 'up to' this challenge ! Note : This was not a visit to the hospital but in a phone call.

  3. Review titled Good service and treatment

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Nigel - Posted on 03 June 2023

I was referred to the Jph for a suspected skin cancer lump on my foot. I was seen within days and had the lump removed shortly after - fewer than 10 days. Prompt treatment and prompt result showing it was benign. I am though still waiting for the follow up.

After two admissions to the ACU and latterly having stents fitted the hospital staff has returned my quality of life back to almost normal for which I will be eternally grateful. Many thanks to everyone concerned including staff from the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital too.

  6. Review titled Ears nose and throat Department rude

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 March 2023

The secretary on ent is absolutely apauling they have no sympathy what so ever, very unhelpful, rude, sarcastic and off the end of the call I was in tears. Now had to pay private for an operation due to them not even wanting to acklowdge my referral after explaining I've already had the diagnosis from spire so the appointment wouldn't even need to be that long, asked if I could go on a cancellation list but just got a straight no Do not know how they get a job as the service is horrendous.

  9. Review titled Joined up care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Michael O'Reilly - Posted on 12 December 2022

I was admitted to a&e by ambulance on Friday 2nd December at about 8 pm Within minutes of handover I had been rapidly assessed, cannula in and blood taken. A few minutes after that I was taken to majors ward for antibiotics and obs. What was so impressive for me as a patient was the professionalism, care and smiles from all the staff who looked after me. The majors ward was such a lovely place to be a patient. I was checked on regularly and with humour by the staff before being moved to aedu for a few hours Finally I had 2 nights on ward 9 where the high standard of care continued. The treatment was seamless from start to finish with access to my gp records from start to finish of my treatment. All of this at a time when we all know how under pressure and understaffed hospitals are. In addition to this I had a phone call from a hospital volunteer to check how I was getting on after discharge. That call was greatly appreciated. Do you need more volunteers for this phone service? I would like to thank the staff personally for looking after me. Would a card to the ward by post be the best way to do this? Thankyou.

  10. Review titled Terrible system poorly-managed expectations

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 December 2022

Manchester triage system. what is the average time in uk from entering A&E and being patched up or even seen by an actual doctors? Not the triage team! 4hrs to triage, to be told you won’t be seen until 8hours later. Torn bicep tendon. Sole trader. The bicep is clear to see it’s torn, yet I’m sent to X-ray. No paint relieve. No chance to earn income now! I was told 4hrs - no one told me that’s 4hrs plus 8hours before I can even see a doctor!!! Soft tissue damage always gets pushed to the curb, I get it’s not life threatening but if I can’t work and pay for my family bills, it may as well be. If it was a broken bone it be cast up and sent on my way but oh no. Bust tendon no such luck. Poor communication Poor expectations set 111system even booked me in what utter waste of tax payers money Nhs is broken
