The care received in both the urology department and urgent admission ward was excellent. All of the staff were clinically informed and they were so caring

Review titled Deepest Gratitude
Rated 5 stars out of 5

The staff were highly dedicated as well as compassionate for my situation. You should be very proud, they are a great team on ward 32. On the downside I have to say that the food was simply appalling, extremely poor quality and devoid of any taste whatsoever.

Review titled Excellent service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My Mum attended the Urology day unit to have a small procedure and more recently, to have a follow up test in Nuclear Science. May I congratulate all departments we have attended but in particular the day unit for their efficiency, politeness and excellent care. Both the main entrance and outpatients are immaculately clean, well organised and with plenty of wheelchairs. On one occasion, we were taken to our destination by a lovely volunteer, who wheeled Mum from the front door to the department we needed. The appointment letters received are clear and concise with straightforward instructions of how to reach departments. The internet is also very informative with regard to access of car parks and departments. We have visited most of the hospitals in the North East area over the last 2 years and I can say without hesitation, Freeman hospital is by far the best in the region. Well done and thank you to all medical staff, receptionists and volunteers.

I was on Ward 19 and the staff - doctors, nurses, physios, and cleaner - were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble to them even though they appeared to be short staffed. They made a very nervous lady feel great. Thank you

Review titled Lloyds pharmacy
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Patricia Turner - Posted on 14 June 2024
The comments posted by a customer on the 10th May 2024 are entirely appropriate. The service from this pharmacy today remains hopelessly inefficient and badly in need of effective management. In particular a regular wait of well over an hour - today my wait was nearly two hours - is unreasonable. I visit every four months and it is the one part of my hospital visit I hate, particularly when contrasted with the other excellent care and attention I receive at the Freeman.
