After contacting 111, waited all day for a return call from a GP, they sent us to Minor injuries to have the problem checked and some things ruled out, so we followed instructions and went. Had to wait for a while, which was no problem. However, the nurse who took initial details was rude, unempathetic, and had a very unpleasant attitude towards us. She didn’t wish to listen or understand. As she felt we shouldn’t be there she was very dismissive and made us feel very uncomfortable. We merely followed what we had been advised to do, there was a very good reason we were there, not that she cared. The clinician was very different, she was caring, empathetic, and put next steps in place to ensure we received the care that was needed. Unfortunately, the experience was affected by this one very rude person. We have ended up there more times than we’d like to, every other time the staff have been amazing. But not this time. Not really what you need when you are sick or injured.
