My daughter was admitted to Birmingham children's hospital on 29/08/24 under the care of mr c. Himself & his team were just simply amazing. From the moment my daughter went in until the moment she was discharged. She was sent onto ward 9 once out of surgery. The staff were absolutely amazing from start to finish. I couldn't of asked for a better bunch of amazing professionals to look after our daughter. They all deserve so much praise. Thank you to all the staff involved in my daughter's care. You are all truly amazing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  3. Review titled Poor service and waiting time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ionelia - Posted on 13 April 2024

got in by 10:30pm, seen by a nurse for 2 min, then waited 5 hours to be seen by another nurse, 3 hours later to just collect his urine sample and be tested, we been sat on a chair for 10 hours with a poorly 12 years old all night, no one asking if he is ok as he had high blood pressure too at first, and finally after so few wrong diagnostics been give a diagnosis of hsp, we both been shattered and crying in pain and tiredness waiting for 12 hours for just 20 min assessment of a senior doctor, the dissatisfaction and disappointment are over the roof in so many levels, no empathy forwards a poorly suffering child sitter in a plastic chair for so many hours, no even given a bed to rest , and no excuse as many rooms where empty.. As a mother, my heart shattered badly seeing and experiencing such a poor and unfair service specially when a poorly child is suffering in pain for so long with no attention, maybe best advice is to call an ambulance instead of walking in, as you never be seen within 12 hours wait, disappointed and revolted.

  4. Review titled Shambolic waiting times

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 April 2024

Absolutely shambolic waiting times came in at 12 am and im still here at 12pm and theyve just told me i have to wait 2 hours for another blood test when they made me wait an hour for a previous blood test. The need to implement a better system that doesnt require you to wait 2 to 4 hours to be seen by a doctor. Again no hate to the staff just the waiting times are horrible having to waint hours just for some tests its barbaric and needs a solution.

  5. Review titled Thank you to the staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Yesterday my boys rolled their go cart. I drove them to children hospital to go to the ER. I just want to thank the entire staff and doctors that we saw. The only wait time we had was waiting for X-rays. The NP that saw my boys was so great the nurses and staff that came in and out with my kids were phenomenal. In a world full of complaints I wanted to make sure the complements get expressed! You truly calmed my momma heart!

  6. Review titled Excellent very happy and proud of the NHS

My bought my son to Birmingham children’s hospital in December 2023 he was immediately seen there were no delays with his diagnosis and treatment he was given full attention. I was surprised given all the negative news regarding the NHS on the news how quickly and efficiently my son was treated He spent 2 nights at the burns unit one thing I must say from the first doctor that seen him to all the nurses involved in his care they were absolutely brilliant and no words can describe as a father how much respect and appreciation I felt for all the staff involved in his care Thank you NHS

  8. Review titled Amazing experience -Autistic & demand avoidant child

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 November 2023

I was referred by local children’s therapy team to Birmingham children’s hospital after having 3 previous failed attempts at blood tests for my Autistic & pathological demand avoidance Child. I asked immediately for a play therapist to help as my child is known to be fight or flight when in distress. The play therapist and nurse were absolutely amazing. They helped my child over the fears (considering child’s condition a nervous system disability) and were patient and caring. I can’t recommend them enough and wish I had got there earlier. I’m so impressed (I was so sure my child would never let anyone take the blood).

  9. Review titled Very bad service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 November 2023

I arrived at the hospital around 11:00 pm on 22/11/2023 with my 2-month-old child with a high fever and we were ignored for several hours. When the doctor came, he started asking me questions about my physical condition and that of my wife. while the child was crying and felt very bad without even looking at him. The place where I waited with the child was very dirty and smelled bad. The nurses came and looked at the child and left laughing. After a while I ran out of milk at child, the doctor said he was bringing me milk but he lied, we were ignored for more than an hour. I went to one of the assistants and explained the situation, after which he came and gave the child a dose of paracetomol and brought very hot milk and I had no way to breastfeed the child. I am afraid to bring the child to that hospital if necessary. Shame
