On 6 April 2024 I attended at the MIU having gashed the top of my head the night before. The care, treatment and support which I received was outstanding. The medical staff could not have done more. I felt listened to, treated with respect, and most importantly of all, the medical care was excellent.

We visited today to ask for help to see our 13 month old daughter who has contracted what we think is conjunctivitis overnight. The duty nurse told us that we would have to call 111 and there is a waiting list of approx 115 people in the que and suggested we go home. We sat down to call 111 in the waiting room, so that we were not driving and to settle the baby. The nurse came out from the desk and told us to leave as it’s a private building and it’s not safe due to covid. We felt very uncomfortable with the ladies attitude and was upset to be spoken to like this, whilst trying to seek help. Perhaps training is required for this person in manners and professionalism.
