Review titled Broken promises and repeat timewasters
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 September 2024
My sister has had her depot injections delayed 3 months in a row. You can't call them up to see if it has been ordered and arrived because no one ever answers the phones. We have to arrange child care so as to go in and find out they have not ordered it after waiting 3hrs each time. The previous 2 months they had it after a few days. This time we went in on Wednsday, waited 3 hours, got told it had not been orders with a promise he would order it and to come in on Friday. She went in on Friday, after waiting almost 2hrs to be told it had not been ordered on Wednesday like the person had promised to do but this man did order it infront of them. He said come in on Monday for the depot injection. On Monday we waited 1hr to be told again it had not been ordered, we asked the manager to check again and she said it had been ordered but had not arrived and to come back on Friday: which is 10 days late and I fear my sister may have a psychotic episode with all these delays and shenanigans. I almost believe this is being done intentionally to spreadout the dose, to save on costly injections against the doctors prescription.

Very happy with the service I got , all staff were friendly and courteous , hardly any waiting for my Xray, clean facilities and most of all the best thing was the convenience of parking without cost for patients. I had a very good experience.

On arrival for apointment for bllod test awaiting 1 week I was told without printed test request they will not perform a test. Having Pdf and link for all is not enough! There is no printer however. Noone is willing to help or print A4 page ( shocking that despite digital era we still need a paper copy ) . I run to 15 min away post office and almost missed long awaited appointment. Does NHS have money to waste - I would have waisted GP and NHS appointment to reorganize again becouse of 1 A4 printed page. I’m shocked. Why does Doagnistic centre doesnt have Printer even if patient has to pay if thay is what they require ???

Review titled Very worrying service

I was at urgent care for my prolong sickness. I was among the first patient registered. But waited for 4 hours to see doctor. Something wrong with this place. If you want to say to prioritise based on severity. I can die waiting so long like that. Better ask to go home only. Acceptable waiting time is 1.5 hours. Why on earth, the hospital need 4 hours to see patients.

Review titled Awful service
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I called 111 about an ailment and they booked an appointment at this hospital. After being triaged by the nurse at the UTC, she curtly said there were no appointments for treatment. Further to that, when I asked her to elaborate on my condition, she rudely replied that the doctor would explain. She was very unhelpful and clearly took a personal dislike to me. Very unprofessional.

Review titled Great Friendly Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

This afternoon I had an appointment for an ECG at 5.15pm. I arrived one hour early and was greeted by a very friendly Receptionist who was helpful and informed me where I needed to go and helped me with my parking query. When I arrived at the ECG department I informed them that I was very early and sat down to read my book. There were 2 people in front of me who were seen and then they saw me. Both members of staff were friendly and courteous. I had my procedure and was back in my car after 30 mins and 30 minutes before I was supposed to be seen. I cannot thank the staff I met today enough for their friendlyness and professionalism. This is the 2nd time I have visited this hospital and it has not disappointed me. Thank you.

Review titled Urgent care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Aisha - Posted on 09 March 2024
Went here for an ‘appointment’ that 111 have me. Waited 5 hours to be seen. The lady at reception was very rude! And so was the lady who did the initial check and also the doctor! Can’t believe it. I understand it may have been a long stressful day but to be rude and inconsiderate to people who are already unwell and have just waited 5 hours is appalling. Worst thing is, after giving me and my 6 month old a diagnosis she didn’t explain it at all or be reassuring that it was okay or anything. Can’t believe this is where our tax money goes… to very rude staff!

Review titled Awful

This was my first time attending the urgent care unit and I was extremely disappointed. There is zero duty of care. I was in agony to the point of tears, I was not offered any paracetamol as I had a high temperature, I started to get extremely cold from having the shivers, was told there are no blankets and was dumped in a room with nothing. After waiting 2-3hrs, the doctor spent about 2 minutes on me and sent me away with antibiotics. No tests, no questions, it felt like my diagnosis was a guessing game.
