  1. Review titled Fantastic staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nicola - Posted on 25 October 2024

The breast clinic staff were amazing. So professional and thorough, but took time to explain everything that was going to happen, all whilst comforting me and keeping me calm. Could not have asked for more. Thank you so much to all the staff on the ward, your care and compassion did not go unnoticed.

Nursing staff in majors were fantastic. Back slab on loads of information and kindness itself. Thank you to the nursing team. 🙏 sorry review won’t let me leave names. I tired haha

  4. Review titled Can't fault at all. A credit to the NHS

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Kelly H - Posted on 24 September 2024

Recently been to airedale hospital with our 1 year old who was struggling to breath. We rang 101 who sent ur straight to airedale... we waited for 5 mins when we got there. Seen triage then moved straight into a&e for observation. The doctors and nurses were amazing. The doctor with blue eyes was the nicest person and helped our son very fast and always talked us through what was happening. A true credit to airedale. We were then moved on to the children's ward quickly with no messing and had us settled and comfortable as soon as we got there. Children's ward cannot do enough for you. What an absolute amazing team. What started off as a scary ordeal turned into quite a relaxed one. This review really doesn't do justice for both a&e and children's ward. Just cannot put into words what a credit they all are. Thank you all so much.

  6. Review titled MRI Department - Awful Treatment by 1 person

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 July 2024

This review is purely based on the treatment by one person - I would like to make it clear the other members of staff were lovely but this one person was enough to ruin it all. I had major back/spinal surgery 3 weeks ago and was rushed to A&E via ambulance as I was stuck in bed screaming unable to move. I was sent for a standard MRI so they could see what they were dealing with - I was dosed up on all the painkillers they could but when they tried to Pat Slide me, the pain was made worse and I had a massive pain spasm and they had to stop. The lovely staff put the beds side by side and I slowly slide across to the bed to travel. When I got there I was left in a corridor for a short time and knocked slightly which made the pain worse. When I was taken to the MRI room, there were 3 people there who said they would Pat Slide me across - I explained what happened when they tried that in A&E and said I was worried if I got another pain spasm I may not be able to lay still in the MRI machine. When I said this, one of the ladies rolled her eyes and was huffing and puffing as I was moving across, I was crying in pain but I was moving and she was visibly annoyed that I was taking so long. I apologised numerous times I was in so much pain and slow. I managed to lay still and complete the MRI. I got off the MRI table in the same way but the easiest way for me and pain I was experiencing. When it was finished I was dumped in the corridor again but this time for quite a while. I was knocked / pushed in to the wall 3 times by different people, each time causing me a massive pain spasm resulting in tears. A lovely member of staff came over to comfort me and see how I was and if she could help me in any way, I explained how people kept bashing the bed and causing me pain. The lady from the MRI room walked past and said… ‘Just leave that one, ignore her, she’s been like that since she got here she won’t stop crying’ I have ME/CFS which I was wearing a lanyard for along with a sunflower badge, I have anxiety around medical appointments/procedures and I was I a lot of pain. To be treated like that by a member of staff in a public setting where other staff members and patients could hear was so upsetting. The lady who was there to help me visibly felt awkward and it must have been a hard position to be in. I was shortly after picked up by porters who asked why I was so upset - I explained what happened and they said she’s always like that, she’s got away with it for years with both patients and staff. I was really disappointed in the overall treatment and it gave me extreme anxiety before I had to go for a second MRI the day after and resulted in me having a panic attack as I was scared to see her again They told me what they thought her name was and I have a description of what she looks like that I am willing to share if someone would like to contact me privately rather than calling an individual out on here.

From my initial diagnosis through to scans and eventual surgery. I have had a very positive experience. The care I have received has been second to none. The staff have been amazing, kind, considerate and caring. Thank you to everyone who I came into touch with and the people I did not see, but worked behind the scenes.

  8. Review titled Great treatment.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Heather - Posted on 14 June 2024

I have had breast surgery twice in six weeks recently. On both occasions the level of care and treatment was fantastic. The surgeon is very skilled and very caring. I felt extremely reassured and confident about procedures and the details I needed to know. All the staff have been wonderful and professionally caring. I do thank everyone that I have met. The ward (20) is a relaxed and comfortable environment. I feel very well in my recovery. Best wishes to all.

  10. Review titled Wouldn't waste your time

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Took too long to be triaged, was told would be seen quickly. I was not. I'd class the reason I were there as urgent, apparently chance of going fully blind isn't urgent enough. Waited for hours, discharged myself, going to see how Bradford A and E is instead.
