  1. Review titled First Class Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gordon Goodchild - Posted on 30 October 2022

I cannot speak too highly of the attention, kindness, and consideration I received on my visit to A & E two days ago. Every member of staff I encountered were first class putting me at ease despite the obvious pressures on all. The same comments apply to the urgent treatment centre which completed my assessment and treatment. I consider myself very fortunate to live so close to Addenbrookes hospital

  2. Review titled My experience of the John Farnham ITU in October 2022

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dr Jai Chitnavis - Posted on 17 October 2022

My clinical situation involved progressive weakness, evolving within less than 48 hrs. From being a middle distance runner one day, I woke to find myself unable to walk. Fortunately, the potential for further deterioration was recognised early by receiving medical staff. That is exactly what happened. Within 6 hours of admission, I was too weak to breathe. I required assisted ventilation for the next 7 days. For the first two days I was completely unconscious. Unknown to me during this period, a variety of complex tests were performed to secure a diagnosis and all these investigations involved a vast number of people. I was totally dependent upon one to one nursing, in isolation, for most of this period. Looking back, the care I received was faultless. Indeed, staff displayed compassionate professionalism of the very highest standard. They saved my life, working together, with great skill. I write this tribute as a grateful patient. And as a senior hospital consultant, in my 40th year in medicine. Thank you!

  4. Review titled Non Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 May 2023

Attended A&E in Sept and was met by staff preventing people entering. I was in severe pain and could barely stand, yet was told to queue outside. I was never actually seen and it was over 4hr waiting. As I was so medicated I needed to sleep so I had to leave. No one was around to tell either. Appalling. Just a Non Service. My injury remains.

  5. Review titled Professional and caring service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 September 2022

I visited the hospital today for an ultrasound and hystroscopy. Everyone I encountered - from porters who gave me directions to specialist nurses - was polite, caring, professional and informative, and showed me the utmost respect. I was seen for my ultrasound within minutes of my arrival and again for my hystroscopy. At every stage nurses and radiographers were reassuring and explained each stage of the procedures. I left with all my questions answered and in awe of our amazing NHS. Thank you.
