Review titled Wonderful ambulance crew
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Steve Kuntze - Posted on 23 October 2024
Yes, we did have to wait a long time for the ambulance to arrive, but when it did, the crew were wonderful. My 99 year old father was very poorly. It was in the early hours. The crew were so cheerful and kind, they made a worrying situation bearable. Thank you so much.

Call out No 1439. My wife 88years old passed out and fell heavily hitting her head arm and ear she gradely came round but was hurt and confused, an ambulance arrived in about 15 minutes maned by two great guys they were so caring and professional, they got her into the ambulance and spent nearly two hours checking all vital singes they then had to get another colleague to attend to put some stitches into my wifies ear. They stayed with us until they were happy that she needed no more attention and that she could walk gently. I cannot praise this ambulance crew enough.

Review titled Life savers
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Bruce & Tracie Sims - Posted on 09 August 2024
5th August 01.10am Two paramedics arrived followed by three more. They got to my home in 8 minutes and saved my husband’s life for which I will be eternally grateful. The young lady kept myself and our son calm whilst they worked hard to keep him alive. Working on him continually on the journey to the hospital where Basildon hospital took over his care. They also came to find out if he made it, and after finding out he did - they went to visit him on his ward and a few tears were shed. He is now safely home and hopeful for a long future ahead of us. Thankyou so much-our ambulance staff are doing a wonderful job.

Review titled Caring Service / Reassuring
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Two paramedics attended to me this morning, often don't leave reviews though thought was in order as I received excellent level care throughout my 40 minutes with the paramedics, they related to my health issues I was suffering from, which to me is the main reason I wanted to leave a review as I think it's personal level care on the paramedics behalf and experience to do this, thank you for taking care of me..

Review titled Poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sally Wood - Posted on 20 June 2024
This was the first and hopefully the last time of having a need to call 999 for an ambulance in Bedford and what a sad call it was. I rang with chest pain and rapid and falling heart rate, chest pain and arm pain, and was told it would be 90 minutes before any one could get to me, 90 minutes !! And was told that this would be a priority, that seems ridiculous my husband quickly got the car out and took me to hospital himself. The person we spoke to showed no compassion or interest or offer an explanation as to why it would be 90 minutes but I was shaken by that and now have no faith at all that the ambulance service will be there for us in an emergency and the only hope of receiving care in this situations you need to get yourself to hospital and hope you don’t die on the way !!

On the 19/06/24 two female paramedics visited me in my home, they were very reassuring and dealt with my problem so proficiently. Id like to apologise for not wanting to go to hospital but I just couldn`t face it. I would like to give them my sincere thanks for their help.
