Review titled Exemplarary Ambulance Team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mike Daly - Posted on 12 October 2024
Following a fall, lacerated scalp & blood loss, ( Incident 18925649, 10/10/2024), Paramed Cat & Asc El attended and demonstrated complete professionalism, humour & a holistic approach in assessing my condition, returning me to a safe position, completing a thorough check (Ecg, Bp,Meds, Wound, dressings) of my condition. Hospital was not needed and I signed accordingly. A great team, excellent service and a credit to the service. A 'can do' attitude. Thank you !!

We had a ambulance crew out yesterday for my mum as our gp requested it and the crew members were absolutely amazing keeping us calm and informed on everything they were doing or what would happen once we got to hospital

Phoned 111 to get help for my husband who collapsed in the downstairs toilet. The 1st responder arrived very quickly and carried out all the initial tests. Unfortunately, my husband had another funny turn, but the 1st responded kept very calm which in turn calmed us. Shortly after the ambulance service arrived and they took over, giving 1st class service from a very friendly team. They carried out further tests and decided my husband had to go to Derby Royal. After 19 hours, spread over 2 days, he was sent home with a chest infection and antibiotics. The episodes he experienced are a mystery. Staff on 23rd not very good but staff on 24th very professional. In their defence it was a manic night on 23rd Sept. Well done to all staff who tried their best at a very busy time.

We had to call for an ambulance on Saturday night in Skegness as my mum clasped whilst out eating her meal. The paramedics arrived very quickly and they were absolutely fantastic. Their care was second to none. They calmed us all down and quickly made sure my mum was okay. We can’t thank you enough. They even made sure my mum got home safe too! Fantastic care and service they went above and beyond. Thanks again.

My neighbour experienced stroke like symptoms. The operator who answered the 111 call was kind and efficient in sending an emergency ambulance. The ambulance team arrived in a very short time. You knew things would be ok in their safe hands. Thank you so much to all for the outstanding service you all provided.

My husband had a mini stroke at home on 2/6/24. The ambulance with two paramedics arrived promptly and they were both fantastic at alleviating our anxiety, monitoring my husband and then transferring him comfortably and at speed to hospital. Our experience was of an outstanding service - professional and compassionate.

Review titled Brilliant bedside manner
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Robin Parkes - Posted on 22 June 2024
My wife has Alzheimer’s and is a resident of Aspen Manor care home, Oakham. An ambulance was called today at about 1430 hrs as she had passed out. The Emergency responder attended the care home. He was professional, genuinely caring and spent some time reassuring my wife whilst he did his initial examination. Because my wife has a fairly advanced stage of Alzheimer’s she is very suspicious of people, including her regular carers. All credit to the first responder, she was more than happy for him to examine her, and similarly with the Ambulance crew who attended later. I just wanted to record how grateful I was for his support this afternoon, and the double crew who attended later. Thanks fell’s

Review titled You saved my life
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Brian Hawken- - Posted on 11 June 2024
I woke early one morning at 5.30am feeling most unwell and my wife quickly contacted 111/999. The Loughborough Paramedic girls arrived very quickly and got me to Leicester Glenfield Hospital at high speed. I had had a serious heart attack. The hospital team were waiting for me and I had the procedure with a stent inserted by 0900hrs. The speed of the treatment throughout saved my life and I was allowed home after 4 days having been told that that my heart had been saved from any material damage. Thank you to everyone who saved my life, especially to the Ambulance paramedics who got me to hospital so quickly. I would love to know who the two ladies were who arrived and got me there so quickly. Any chance? Thank you all. The NHS is marvellous.

We do hope you are feeling better now and are delighted to hear that our ambulance crews were able to help you in what must have been a scary time for you. We are very proud of our ambulance crews. We have been able to locate the 999 call and so have already logged this as a compliment in our database and sent the attending crews your kind words of thanks. Crews love to hear what impact they have had on patients and their families and we really are grateful when people take time to share their patient stories. Review titled Fantastic Ambulance crew
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chris - Posted on 18 June 2024
The 2 lady’s who took me from the care centre to the hospital are a credit to the NHS. I couldn’t have asked for better care . We had a 2 hour wait and they looked after me so well. Everyone from Corby care centre to Kettering general was fantastic. The NHS gets such poor press at times but from my experience I feel truly thankful.
