To have B12 deficiency and be told got to high street shop and buy tablets by e mail is extremely unprofessional they stopped giving injections with no explanation and expect patients to go private, why did I pay all that National Insurance Contributions?

  2. Review titled Extremely helpful

Was anxious to get a particular referral in place. Practice Manager and secretary went above and beyond to help, even phoning to obtain further details and explain the situation. Have always been happy with all aspects of Yorkleigh Surgery. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Abysmal Management

Rated 1 star out of 5

A really disheartening experience after 31 years with the Surgery. 54 mins. phone waiting and absolutely no air of urgency to process calls. 3 weeks for an appointment - how can that be right with their list of doctors and practitioners ? Only ever seen two doctors on site, where are all of the others ? I run a very busy factory and quite honestly this surgery's management would bankrupt us.

  4. Review titled Great reception

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This review is for the reception team at Yorkleigh, Cheltenham. I have had good advice and care from the doctors, however, I also wanted to say thank you to the reception team. Each time I have rang up they have been not only professional in their communication but also have been kind and shown care and understanding over the phone. So, thanks reception people, I really appreciate it.

  5. Review titled Do not use this surgery if you cannot climb steps

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John Russell - Posted on 27 February 2023

Do not use this surgery if you cannot climb the outside steps to reception. There is level access at the rear of the building but the heavy door is difficult to open. There is no doorbell or intercom to ask for help or inform reception you have arrived for your appointment. I did post a review last year stating the surgery is no longer fit for purpose. I received a written reply on 7th November that a doorbell would be fitted in the next few days. Nearly four months later it still hasn't been fitted. Regarding the new entrance door at the rear, I was told the door couldn't be wedged open during winter months. The old system worked fine. The door was always kept locked. I would use the intercom to notify reception I had arrived for my appointment and they would then come and let me in. (it is worrying that leaving the new door open means anyone could walk in and enter unoccupied rooms) This worked perfectly for the 43 years I have been with this practice, but sadly I have now had to register with a new surgery.

  6. Review titled Practice not fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John - Posted on 01 November 2022

I am in a wheelchair and therefore have to use the rear door. The door bell has been removed and the door very heavy to open. Once inside there is no means of informing reception I have arrived. Tried ringing but recorded message told me to ring back later. I shouted up the stairs but no response. My wife who has a walking disability and uses sticks had to climb the stairs to tell reception. On informing them about the removal of the bell, she was told they didn't know if a new one was to be fitted. No comment to say she would inform the practice of my problems. Very poor service and no longer fit for purpose for myself and others with walking disabilities. I've been with this practice for 40 years. It used to be first class. I will now have to look at joining another practice.
