Review titled Excellent service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kirsty Alexander-Bew - Posted on 23 April 2024
Sent in a message at 6.30am requesting an appointment for my daughter to see a specific dr. Wasn’t really expecting an appointment that week as I wanted to see a specific dr. However, received a phone call at 7.15am offering 3 different appointments available that day. The dr was excellent with her advice and her approach towards my daughter and made us both feel that she will help us resolve her ongoing health issues

Review titled Dreadful service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Could not get to see the GP at all, had to send them photos. Had to call back as no response from surgery, med in confidence photos then looked at by 'receptionist', had to ask for GP to look at them. Was told what my ailment wasn't not what I may have, I still don't know. Told if I wanted a face to face I would need to travel 10 miles to city centre walk in. Totally unacceptable.

Review titled Brilliant efficient practise
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chris P - Posted on 29 July 2023
I have always been impressed with the practise over the past 40 years. In the past 4or5 years I have had an increasing cause to contact the surgery either on line or by telephone. I have always been treated in a helpful way by receptionists, Doctors, Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists and ‘back room’ staff and been referred to specialists when needed. My current GP has been reassuring and very helpful recently. Thank you everyone for your care during the past few difficult years for the NHS

Review titled Great appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2023
I had a lot of issues at once, but the GP I saw was fantastic. He took the time to cover all my concerns and gave me the time and space to ask questions. I'm autistic and have PTSD from medical negligence/trauma, so I really value doctors who take the time and care to accommodate my complex emotional/psychological needs. I feel so relieved to have had my concerns about epilepsy listened to, and by giving me the chance to go into detail (which, with me being autistic, there was a lot of!), it became clear that I needed a referral to neurology. Too often, I get rushed out of appointments before I can explain what I'm trying to say, but finally, I have been listened to in full and will now have the appropriate care for a condition that has been brushed off for too long. Thank you! In addition to my original comment due to follow-up questions (no need to publish this bit, it's just an FYI): I find the system to access appointments inaccessible because I often have too much anxiety to use the phone or come in to book an appointment. The online booking system is often switched off, so I then have to find other ways to book or just don't get the opportunity to book at all. That is why I am extremely dissatisfied with the booking of appointments over the phone.

Review titled Seen Easily & really friendly
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by GES - Posted on 31 March 2023
I had really odd symptoms / non-urgent and felt really silly contacting the GP about it. But I got a next-day appointment, and the GP who I saw was really friendly and listened to what I thought was weird symptoms that were probably nothing. Turns out it wasn't nothing and I wasn't going mad. I just really appreciated their caring attitude and I didn't feel rushed or anything. Thanks very much! :)

Review titled Not accessible to all
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 February 2023
I am quite distressed to find that the online option for contact and making appointments has been disabled. I understand that this is due to staff sickness but it doesn't exactly support those who like myself, struggle to use the phone due to autism or other issues. I have previously had to drive to the surgery to make an appointment as I cannot cope with using the phone. It is not accessible to all. A health service is the one place that should be taking the various needs of patients in to account. I need to make an appointment with my GP and will now have to ask someone to call on my behalf; difficult when you live alone and barely leave the house, or drive to the surgery to make one. Surely there should be an option for those like myself? I know that I am not the only one with these struggles.

Review titled Fantastic kind reception & GPs
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amy W - Posted on 05 December 2022
I called today after my 14 month old daughter came out in a head to toe rash. The receptionist I spoke with was so calming, patient & lovely. She could hear my panic & was so reassuring. A GP saw my daughter within the hour and was extremely thorough. It’s so reassuring having a GP practice that prioritises babies/children.

Review titled Covid and flu jabs
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rob Fenton - Posted on 16 October 2022
Just a quick note to say “well done”. My vaccinations on Saturday 16th October were completed on time, efficiently and with a smile. I know that the nhs rules have made timings tricky but the revised clinics worked brilliantly. Many thanks to all those working on the day and to the many behind the scenes who worked hard to make it a success.
