  1. Review titled They should be shut down

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 October 2024

For a number of years I have heard my parents complain about a once great surgery. I am not witnessing first hand what they have to deal with. I am trying to book the removal of stitches for one of my parents, this needs to be completed within a timeframe of 14 days. I have so far spent 4 days trying to get through to the surgery. I have spend hours hanging on the phone only to be cut off. My parents paid into the NHS their entire lives to be subjected to this utter shambles of a surgery. The quality care commission needs to do it’s job and sort this place out.

  2. Review titled Avoid this horrible Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ajai Joseph - Posted on 19 June 2024

Someone should do its due diligence and shut this surgery as it could cost lives. Very rude and unapologetic Reception staff work in this Surgery, they lack the most basic empathy needed for this kind of work. A month ago I have called up for an urgent blood test as my symptoms were worsening, spoke to a reception staff who showed complete lack of empathy or even any consideration to a fellow human being, she bluntly said we not do blood tests, check you phone for some kind of a link in the next 5 mins and book an appointment through that portal. Booked an appointment online and the next appointment was after 1 month. Today here I am in the hospital and they have told me that GP hasn’t sent over my details through and it’s can’t be done. Taken day off from work for this and arranged and paid for one days child care to do this. Hospital staff was very kind and asked to call this horrible GP to sent over the details so that they can get it done for me. After 30 minutes on the hold another rude and horrible reception staff who somehow thinks that this is all my fault and now I have to speak to another person from GP after one week before they can even think about a helping me out or resolve this issue. Now they have wasted tax payers money with dodgy hospital appointments and cost me a lot of money at work and child care. Worst part is actually the receptionist who somehow think this is all my fault and never said sorry for this. I’m guessing she might be the one who gave me the initial hospital appointment without doing the due diligence and wasted everyone’s time and money. Avoid this place like plague.

Dear Mr Joseph Thank you for your feedback. I can only apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you. The receptionist should have made sure your request was on the system before sending the link out to you to have your blood test carried out at the hospital. Unfortunately you cannot just request a blood test without speaking to a GP so that should have been the first request. I am also sorry your interaction with our reception team has not been positive. We are in the process of building a new Team so your feedback will be relayed back to them so they understand that they need to have empathy and understanding when dealing with our patients and full training is being given so the team ask the correct questions. Kind regards Vicki Avery Patient Services Manager

  3. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2024

I have been trying to book an appointment since November 2023. I only have one day off a week and despite calling every week to try to get an appointment, I'm told (by the extremely unhelpful and rude receptionists) that I should book a pre-bookable appointment online. Guess what, there are never any pre-bookable appointments available. I'm disgusted and extremely frustrated that despite paying my taxes I can't even get an appointment when I need it.

Dear Patient I am so sorry that you have not been able to book a pre bookable appointment to suit. We offer 30% of our appointments as pre-bookable and with regards to the on-line services more patients are using this service so the appointments are going quickly. I am also sorry your interaction with our reception team has not been positive. We are in the process of building a new Team so your feedback will be relayed back to them so they understand that they need to have empathy and understanding when dealing with our patients. 4. Review titled Great Practice. Very Rude Receptionists.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 March 2024

The receptionists at the surgery can be very rude. They will often roll their eyes and make you feel like an inconvenience when just trying to access basic care. Further, they can often be rude about patients. Recently, after the gentleman before me had left the queue, one receptionist turned to another and said 'did you see him? he had like one tooth'. Genuinely, they can be outrageously rude and make me quite uncomfortable accessing the surgery. I don't usually leave reviews or give feedback, but I felt I ought to in this circumstance given how uncomfortable I feel at the care given by the receptionists. Plenty of other patients share this concern and I have spoken to them about it.

  6. Review titled Rude receptionist

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 December 2023

Doctors are great. Knowledgeable and professional. Reading the other reviews, the physio and nurses also are very good. However, the receptionist is appalling. Very rude and abrupt. Shows absolutely no sympathy or even empathy and tries to find a reason to not give an appointment (I understand they need to triage, but having established the need for an appointment, the receptionist was still trying to not book my son in for an available slot-risking him not been seen at all that day). I wish she would speak to others how she might want to be spoken to when calling up to seek medical care for a loved one. Extremely disappointing.

I really can't say anything bad about the doctors at the clinic. They always help me and my family. But unfortunately some ladies at the reception are very rude. There is no word - see you, goodbye, they just put on the phone and there is no opportunity to ask anything else. you even feel like you're doing something wrong by calling the clinic to make an appointment.

  9. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2023

I phoned the surgery on behalf of my unwell pregnant sister to book an appointment. The call handler very rudely asked why my sister didn’t ring in the morning and why am I even ringing at this time, to which I replied because she was so unwell hence why I’m ringing on her behalf. When I asked which number the doctor will ring (if it’s mine or hers), the call handler responded very abruptly. I’m appalled at the service and response I received from the women on the phone, especially when it’s regarding someone really sick. I honestly got off the phone upset. I hope this gets fed back to the staff because no one deserves to be spoken to and treated like that.
