Wood Lane Medical Centre is one of the best, if not, the best GP Surgery in my area. Recently I received great support from one of their Care Navigators, who went above and beyond to help me when I was facing acute symptoms, related to my underlying medical condition. She managed to quickly set up an 'out of hours' GP appointment and proactively ensured that I would be able to receive my required medication through another pharmacy in the local area, that closed late. Her proactiveness led to me getting the help I needed that evening itself and put me on the road to recovery - for which I am extremely grateful. Many sincere thanks to the Care Navigator, Wood Lane Medical Centre and its other staff, as well, for their 'super service', even when they are busy. Really appreciate their ( Doctors and all other staff members) efforts and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, looking for a good GP Surgery in the area.

I have great respect and gratitude for the care I receive at Wood Lane medical centre. I always feel listened to and in good hands. My Doctor is amazing at her job and takes time to really understand, empathise and help with any given situation. With the last issue I attended for Doctor was reassuring, kind and patient, she saw to my needs and gave great advice. Always professional, friendly and thorough. Thank you so much for your consistent and dedicated care!

Joined this practice shortly after moving into the area a few years ago! Unfortunately was left extremely unhappy with the treatment I received at this practice. Felt judged, patronised and not listened too. No action was taken to confirm my ailments as doctors dismissed my condition. Left feeling depressed by Doctors comments. Phone lines never answered and on one occasion after waiting on hold for two hour, I decided to attend the surgery with my phone still on hold and found reception had phone lines on silent. Took far too long to move to another surgery but am now so glad to find that there are much better practices with doctors who listen to their patients to be found.

The wait to speak to someone by calling is unbelievable. Was caller number 4 when first called , then after 34 minutes wait and finally being 1st in the queue I waited another 40 minutes until i finally gave up. Appointment waiting times are ridiculous too! Furthermore they don't seem to have any communication skills whatsoever - as every single person in reception will tell you completely different thing.

My husband and I have visited this surgery quite a lot in the last year and the reception staff and the gps have always treated with utmost respect and have always been extremely helpful. Well done Wood Lane.

My experiences over the years with Wood Lane Medical Centre, Hornchurch have been very positive and satisfying. My recent experiences during the month of September too have just mirrored this and been extremely reassuring. At a time when one keeps hearing about how long it takes to get an appointment at a GP Practice and the attitude of staff, level of service, etc., I can say with the utmost confidence that it is such a different story at Wood Lane Medical Centre. Right from the Care Navigators, to the Practice Nurses, to the Doctors, the support for all their patients, is just tremendous - on a consistent basis. During the month of September for example, faced with very concerning health issues (my daughter and I) they managed to fit us into their jammed schedule, giving us immediate urgent appointments. Not only that, the staff were very engaging, patient, compassionate and supportive. They even followed up with web links for additional support. During our appointments with the GPs, they genuinely listened and spent time trying to understand our medical problems to decide how best to support us (which they did), instead of trying to rush us out. This is why Wood Lane Medical just stands out!!! My family and I are very grateful to the entire team at Wood Lane Medical Centre for being there for us over the years and recently too.....and are confident that they will continue to do so, not just for us, but for all their other patients as well. A very professionally run and highly recommended GP Practice!!!

The doctors, nurses and staff at Wood Lane surgery are really professional and caring. As the front line for patients the receptionists are efficient and always helpful in making sure you get the appointments you need.

The 2 ladies on the front desk were very kind and helpful. I was struggling to book my appointment online so I went into the practice and they had a wonderful attitude and helped me convey my symptoms and find the best appointment days for me.

After receiving quite a few reminders to book an appointment with the nurse, I am today trying to do so. I always wait until I have annual leave to try to book an appointment because it takes so long and I really can't afford to put that time aside in my working day. I'm currently in their call queue at no. 2 and I've been here for 57 minutes. I started at no. 5. This must mean that to book an appointment, it takes as long as two GP appointments of 10 mins? Do you not have any agreed service level agreements? Is this really the way you wish to treat your patients? Would it make sense to have an online booking system maybe?
