Review titled The absolute worst practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 October 2024
I’ve called on behalf of my husband soo many times before when he’s been busy with work to ask for his medication. Today I’ve been told they can’t speak to me, to which I said I literally spoke to you guys before on his behalf (about 2 weeks ago to be exact) and there was no problem then, there was no problem when my mother in law called on his behalf before because they messed up and they didn’t have his prescription on time. He’s on antidepressants that if he doesn’t take them for a day or two he gets really bad headaches and struggles. You’re told to put a request in 72hours in advance, yet when he does that, he still has to wait for them cause they’re not ready, if he does an emergency request they tell him he can’t keep doing that. The GP practice needs to get their story straight! They gave him an email to request his prescription, he ended up calling them on the day the medication was supposed to be ready to find out that the email is wrong and he had to request again by another email and also call! A lot of faff about!

Review titled the worst practice ever

always empty yet never get an appointment. when my partner did get an appointment after being discharged from hospital, we were told she couldn’t have any medication as she hadn’t been given a discharge letter so rather than the doctor making a quick call to the ward, we had to drive an hour each way for her to then have to wait until 5pm the next day, i came in from work to find that she had had a fall as well as she had no medication to cope . worst mistake we ever made was leaving our old practice when we moved to wilnecote. there isn’t any care here , if you have anything serious wrong with you, it takes a week, ringing every morning at half 8 to try and get one of the two appointments available

Review titled Terrible service

Spent 1 hr 45 mins on the phone this morning trying to book an appointment. Finally got through and no appointments left, and nothing to pre-book 2 weeks in advance. Try again tomorrow. No apology for the wait time from the reception staff and no empathy given. Came off the phone in tears. Regularly getting text messages to say they have issues with their phone lines. I am looking to move practice once I've managed to see a doctor (however long that might be).

Dear Patient, I am sorry you have had a bad experience in engaging with our services this is not the type of service we hope to provide. We are in the process of installing a new telephony service that will have added functions like call back and priority to the severely ill and vulnerable groups. We apologise again kind regards Operational Manager

Been at this doctors all my life, now 40 years of age. This doctors the last 5 years has gone from hero to zero, stay away!! The receptionists are very rude and it’s impossible to even see a doctor! My son is 3 and been trying to get into the doctors now for 3 days, the receptionist thinks she’s some sort of F B I agent, they do not have the right to ask me personal questions. They should all been sacked, yes it’s that bad, 1 hour waiting on the phone also is pathetic. Will also be contacting pals where they will prob do nothing like normal also.

Dear Patient, I am sorry you feel you experienced a poor service at our Practice. The receptionists are trained to ask specific questions to ascertain the best course of action and correct clinician to book with. We will speak to the receptionists and re-iterate the importance of good customer/patient service. Kind regards Operational Manager

Review titled Terrible practice

Receptionist and nurses are great however good luck actually seeing a GP . Never any appointments yet always an empty waiting room. I eventually got to see a medical practitioner who wasn’t interested in the slightest as he disagreed that I should be seeing a GP after my operation. My cut had become all infected and he said I had to go and see the surgeon team an hour away when all he had to do was give me some antibiotics. He wasn’t interested and hardly spoke. I won’t ever be seeing him again!!

I have had two visits to this practice this week!.First was to see a doctor who patiently listened to my concerns after which they carried out a thorough examination with regard to the problems I was having. They perscribed two new medications for me which I have now started to take. The second visit was to see a nurse for blood tests. They were very friendly and carried out the tests in no time. I rate this practice very highly and consider myself very lucky to be a patient at this practice.
