Review titled Worrying Changes
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I note that changes to appointments have been made without informing patients. How can a patient now make a future appointment.

Review titled Appointment system requires improvement

Nurse appointment for blood test at 07.30 (confirmed by text) - surgery closed on arrival! Opened at 8am. Appointment fulfilled at 09.00. How can you book appointments when the surgery isn’t even open. Inefficient administration processes.

Review titled Stop kidding yourselves. It's embarrassing.
Rated 1 star out of 5

Took my 10 month old for the third time in two weeks after basically being told to forget about her infection for us to then take her to the hospital with a pretty serious infection. They said a GP service could've resolved this if it was treated early enough. That's a joke. That's serious and it's dangerous. Never mind trying to get an appointment for myself, standing in line from 8am while also trying to get through on the phone. "We're too busy to answer your call, try again later" to then be told - in person - there's no appointments available, I was the third person in the queue! Your an increasingly bad danger to health and need serious measures bringing in to make changes.

Review titled Don’t phone go in person if possible
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2023
The gps, nurses and receptionists all give a decent service however the phone lines are terrible. I’m the next of kin for a 93 yr old lady and I live in a different county. Therefore the days I visit if I need to communicate with the practice team I have to go in person. I’m on hold for a least 3/4 of an hour and sometimes the line goes died before I speak to someone. Please please please sort your telephone lines out. It’s so frustrating and then patients become annoyed.

Review titled Just tell you to ring 111
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 January 2023
This practice are a joke! I’ve got a two year old daughter and I’m pregnant and i rarely ever call but when I do like today with a migraine - told to ring 111 instantly. They have done this the last two times I’ve called and when I do ring 111 I manage to get a miraculous appointment at Whyburn. What sort of care is this for patients who are unwell they’ve got to ring 111 and be on the phone for half an hour only for them to make the appointment anyway? It’s disgusting I’m so sick of it and feel so unsafe being under this practice pregnant to be honest. Awful. Wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole but I’m unsure where else there is to go

Review titled Terrible pallative care
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2022
As a carer for a palliative patient I have had to contact this practice for a close reliative many times in the past year. Every single time we needed analgesia there is a problem. It is completely impossible to speak to a GP and even when a home visit is promised by reception staff and members of the district nursing team, they still don't bother to visit. Absolutely disgusted with this practice.

Review titled Friendly people but terribly unorganized
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Rita Sinha - Posted on 27 October 2022
Writing on behalf of my 90 year old mother. Today is the 2nd time we have been for an appointment (spending £12 each time for the taxi). The 1st appointment was for blood tests but on arrival we were told they could not be done as on Fridays they were sent away earlier!! That was the Receptionist's fault for making an appointment Friday afternoon! The nurse made another 2 appointments for blood tests and a medicine review. We went for the blood tests but when we went for the review apparently no appointment had been made! Do they communicate to each other in this practice?! It was impossible to speak to the doctor or to see anybody as I was given the usual reply "Iam sorry but the doctor isn't in and nobody else is available"!! There are many other occasions where I have been totally disappointed by this doctor as he shows complete lack of interest in his patients and of the entire practice. It's a shame as Iam sure that this practice could, as it once was, be an asset to this community.

Review titled Worst surgery Ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Louanne Derbyshire - Posted on 08 October 2022
Spend a whole week trying to get through on the phone. One day sat on the phone for 45 minutes and still only got to number 4 in the queue. Completely ran out of HRT and Anxiety medicine. Plqced several orders for repeat prescriptions on their website which have all been completely ignored! Anxiety got that bad I had to contact the mental health crisis team! This surgery is Disgraceful!! Shame on you! Disgusted
