Review titled Great practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 April 2024
I can only speak positively about the practice; attentive, professional and kind. Any doctor or nurse I've seen have been really good; my latest experience has been with the women's health specialist and it was 10/10. Thank you!

Review titled No point even being there
Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve had to change to this gp a couple years ago as my original gp had too much capacity, i would never recommend this gp to anyone, i’ve tried to get in there 4 times over the past two years for relatively serious stuff (i won’t use the gp unless i really need to) and every time i’ve been fobbed off to the online service where i don’t get any contact with a doctor or nurse, my most recent problem which has kept me off work for nearly 3 weeks they won’t even see me, i just got a prescription from the doctor over text saying it was ready, no information of what pharmacy it was at either. I would understand if it was a busy gp, but whenever I have been in there it’s been dead, only 1 or 2 other patents in the building. Avoid this practice and change to a new gp if you can, even the local pharmacist didn’t recommend them.

Review titled Kind Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by E A Russell - Posted on 05 July 2023
I received a recent call from a member of the administration staff who was following up a query I had about delays in receiving a referral letter. She outlined the situation and was so helpful and understanding. I felt so much better having spoken to her and wanted the opportunity to thank her. I’ve been with this practice for many, many years and have always been treated with care and respect. Thankyou.

Review titled A Bit Unhappy
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by E Russell - Posted on 30 June 2023
I recently saw a Doctor and he said I needed to be seen by the hospital and he would make a referral. After 3 weeks I still hadn’t received a referral form and on contacting by E-consult was told appointments can take a while, but I hadn’t received the referral form! A week later, 4 weeks after seeing the doctor, I received the referral form. Obviously no appointments available!! But with so many administration staff why does it take 4 weeks to send out a form? In general my surgery has been good and everyone is pleasant and helpful, but I’m a bit unhappy about this delay.

Review titled Good practice

Recently I have been impressed by the improvements made at Whitehall Medical Practice. I am particularly happy about the reception staff on the front desk (in particular Marisol). On the occasions I have been to the surgery always greeted in a friendly and pleasant manner and not made to feel like the receptionist is doing me favour. I have also used the e-consult service many times which has saved me from trips to the surgery for things that a simple over the phone or video diagnosis would deal with.

Review titled NHS needs a doctor
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Ian Lauder - Posted on 07 November 2022
Got up this morning, went dizzy and collapsed to the floor. Sat on bed and the room was spinning. No alcohol involved. Stood up, lost balance, fell again. Dialed 111 - no response. Tried 111 online, answered questionaire - got telephone call from a nurse who asked the same questions and made an appointment at the urgent tratment department of St Cross hospital. Supported by my wife I walked there and felt a little better. The nurse took my blood pressure but said they should not have sent me there as they can not order a blood sample - referred me to the GP - walked to the surgery where a rather rude receptionist said I should not be there but I must go home and book an appointment on computer. I am now home - turned on computer to book a GP appointment where the first line says you can book it in person at the surgery "speak to the receptionist". I gave up and decided if I feel about to collapse again, I'll crawl out onto the street and await a good Samaritan!
