Review titled Shocking practice.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 August 2024
I came today and have had to wait over 2 hrs for a walk in appointment, despite being 3rd through the door. Unsuprising as they cancel appointments regularly without notice, unreliable walk in service (1 doctor to 30+ patients), unhelpful staff, no appointments, unwilling to help, offering telephone appointments for physical illness instead of in person. Terrible service. Would never recommend.

Review titled Practice in need of new manager
Rated 3 stars out of 5

For a third time within a period of 3 months I was booked by administrator for a telephone appointment with a GP doctor and I have now been waiting for more than 2h I am sure that the doctor is most probably even not advised of that call they need to make. The administration is lazy, unprofessional, rude. In case of a doctor being delayed or changed by another doctor is to be announced immediately to the patients. In surgeries and hospital departments there are whiteboards and electronic news updates of any delays. If there is a change of a telephone call, the patient is to be advised by phone by the admin staff. But this surgery 's admin staff is actually not updating data or patients, most probably as I said the doctor is unaware they had to make a call two hours ago. The management of the practice does not know how to link the administrative work with the doctors' work and there is no coordination. They should find a way on a meeting how to check in the phone calls for the doctors. Patients cannot stop working expecting a call for 09:10am and that call doesn't come. If you happen to ask for something in receptions ( both branches) the receptionists are pompously grumpy. No need to stress that such unpleasant attitude and extremely poor organisation, does not let patients to connect closer to the GP s and see their medical expertise.

Review titled Good Doctors

Surgeries seem to be getting a lot of flack for poor performance, but my recent experiences with two separate doctors at the surgery has been extremely good. Thank you both for being patient and listening and the lady doctor I saw on my most recent visit was brilliant.I am not sure if she is a permanent doctor at the practise because if not they should seriously consider making her a permanent member of staff.Lovely lady and, very professional with a wonderful patient manner.

Review titled Over subscribed and unable to provide service.

Luckily I rarely have the use the services of a GP. This is particularly lucky as I am registered at Welling Medical Practice and you can hardly ever get through when you call and if you do then you are unlikely to get an appointment. They rely on people using 111 and out of hours services to get treatment. Some of the administrative staff are very helpful, but if I had not been aware of the process I needed for a particular referral it would have been sent to the wrong place. This is after months of me chasing it up and the referral originally being sent to the wrong place. You really need to be someone who can advocate for themselves if under this surgery. It is clear they are over registered and cannot meet the needs of the large patient list they have. I am hoping to be able to change surgeries.

Review titled Horrible service

The switchboard is only with 2 functional options and you cannot get through the options at all. If someone picks up the phone in half an hour they are grumpy, unfriendly, understanding, no surprise that the switchboard is not service friendly either

Review titled Shockingly poor level of patient care and service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Archbishop Jonathan Blake - Posted on 27 February 2023
Inaccessible, unwelcoming, demeaning and dismissive. Unreachable by phone, out of date and confusing recorded message. Rude, highhanded reception staff. Weeks to get an appointment. Processes that disadvantage patients, complaints that are ignored. Unaccountable, disinterested and illusive management. Lacking sensitivity to patient needs, putting policies before people, prioritising systems over human circumstances. The quality of service has collapsed at this surgery, from high standards when we first joined in 2001, to today's shambles. Seeing a doctor, obtaining a prescription, communicating with the surgery, and phoning back having been called, are all met with immense, frustrating and time consuming obstacles. The patients are treated with a lack of dignity and respect and are regarded as trouble, rather than people in need. Medical issues raised are fobbed off and when consequential problems arise, the surgery uses A and E as a convenient mopping up facility for their mistakes and lack of attention and availability.

Review titled Not fit for purpose
Rated 1 star out of 5

Shocking lack of care for patients. I waited 12 days for the next available telephone consultation just to get a form for an ‘urgent’ x-ray. The phone call didn’t come and when I called them I was told the doctor was off sick. When I eventually got the x-ray, it took 10 days for the phone call to give me the result. This is just one example of the absolute shambles this surgery has become. No wonder it’s rated the worst surgery in the whole of Bexley and Greenwich and is in the top 100 worst surgeries in the whole of London.

The Secretary at the Danson Crescent branch was really helpful in getting a letter sent off to the hospital for me. The doctor was off sick so she accessed my records, amended the letter that was on file with the correct address and E Mailed it off to the hospital. Thank you very much, great service

I needed a report for my wife which was very important and due in a few weeks time but the surgery went out of the way to produce it on the same day understanding the criticality of the report! Kudos to all involved and many thanks for your amazingly swift help! It was a good surprise!!!

The secretary has made every effort that she can to get me a hospital appointment and has stayed in touch by phone keeping me updated. Just hope now the hospital comes through. Well done great step forward.
