Review titled Sad to see
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 August 2024
I have left the surgery and feel very sad as this surgery has everything, I've been with the practice about 30 years, but trying to get an appointment is very difficult, trying to sort blood tests, when I asked which blood tests were included in the diabetic check up I was told I don't know, three separate occasions I tried, I asked to speak to the practice manager but was always told she wasn't in. I asked to get a message to a GP, was told we can't speak to the doctors, I asked can you give them a note... though the reception are very polite, one can be tricky and very anti patient. The Doctor who heads the practice is a lovely, hard-working lady, as are the other GPs, but the stress created just trying to do a simple appointment, and when the appointment arrived after a 40 minute wait I found out I didn't have a double appointment and could only discuss one topic, drove me to leave the practice. I couldn't suffer going round in circles, I'm not a malingerer.

Review titled Usual poor response

Waited 6 weeks for a face to face appointment, was given a prescription that was sent straight to the chemist. 1 week later went to collect the prescription and the chemist have no record of it. Called the surgery this morning, no answer. Called again this afternoon, been waiting now 20 minutes for the phone to be answered and still hanging on. Still do not have a prescription!! When you do get through the reception staff are rude and impatient.would not recommend this surgery.

Review titled Great Village Sirgery

Your Review: I have a whole load of medical conditions and spent a year in hospital, upon “release” I needed support and felt like I was on the phone every week, however, the doctor was a saint! I had another issue a few months ago, again, my doctor was supportive and empathetic, sorted me out and gave me the help and directions required. I find all the receptionists and the team behind the scenes fantastic and supportive. I cannot fault this surgery one bit. I find the new triage system brilliant and an easy way to get an appointment. Only thing is the pharmacy can, at times, be a little slow but I understand the pressure they are under with the supply chain being what it is. Some people need to be a little more tolerant and understanding. Thank you Wateringbury Surgery.

Review titled Really careful care and speedy responses
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rebecca Fossett - Posted on 07 February 2023
28th Dec I called. 28th Dec I had a phone consultation, (with senior partner of surgery) followed by a face to face consultation in afternoon. 12pm 29th I had array of bloods taken. 30th Dec I had Dr call to discuss bloods and concerns. More bloods booked, so to ultrasound. Referred direct to Aau appointment 6th. Mri/Mrcp booked 16th. Called surgery as I was feeling particularly unwell still and got phone consultation call back from my surgery allocated Named Dr. He was fantastic, explained everything which had been seen and found whilst using the ultrasound images he had. 20th Aau review - despite Mrcp results not yet being available. All kicks into action and I am hospitalised. Ercp for stent and biopsy. Upheaval from Ercp triggers acute pancreatitis. Tense 2 weeks in hospital. Today I’m home and ‘stable’ and waiting for pancreatitis to settle more before my referral to Kings is taken up for surgery to deal with blocked bile ducts and further analysis of the ‘bloackage’ type and make up. A fantastically fast and serious response from my Gpsurgery and team! Thank you. Rebecca

I saw a locum doctor when my 3-year-old was unwell - they were superb. So caring, thorough, reassuring and kind - and excellent with a poorly child. Highly recommended.
