Review titled Absolutely appalling
Rated 1 star out of 5

After registered my need to speak to a Doctor at 8am this morning, I have waited 2 hours for a call back which just came. But it was just 1 ring before Warden Lodge rang off. One ring! No one could have reached it in time to answer it! I mean really?? Is it all about the stats? Because this surgery makes it very clear that its not about the patients

Review titled Reception needs to respect privacy and lack of GDPR
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Trying to get an appointment over the phone I was asked my dob she confirmed my name. The asked why I explained it was private & that I sent an email and told to call! She was very unhappy I would not discuss my issue - the vm message states 'our reception is trained to ask you about your condition but if you prefer not to tell them that's ok' this was not ok I felt extremely uncomfortable - Also my friend was in the reception & heard my name being said out loud & then the receptionist discuss/make comments about my call - its a disgrace

Dear patient. We are sorry you have had cause to comment on your experience at Warden Lodge. The reception team ask for a brief reason for the call so that appointment can be made with the appropriate clinician. However as you have indicated if the patient does not wish to state this then the appointment/telephone consultation can be booked. In terms of confidentiality in the waiting room, the reception team are behind clear glass and we reduce the risk of overhearing information with a low volume radio in the reception area. Without the full information is it difficult for the surgery to comment on all your concerns, so if you could please contact the practice manager we will be able to investigate the circumstances in more detail. Kind regards Warden Lodge Medical Practice

Review titled Disgrace - not fit for purpose
Rated 1 star out of 5

Stay away from this surgery!! It is not fit for purpose. I called this morning at 8am( like their appointment policy) to try and get and appointment with either the gp or a nurse as i have been unwell for 5 days. Waited in the call queue for 40minutes and once i got through the receptionist, she told me that they never had any appointments to give out today. On top of that she advised me that they didn’t have any nurses working today at all. Seems like there is noone else working in that practice except for the receptionists. I’m leaving this surgery

Dear Patient, We are sorry you have had cause to comment on your experience at Warden Lodge, unfortunately we are unable to reply in detail without specific information. However we would like to reassure you that the clinical team are providing an average of 1000 appointments per week from Monday to Saturday, and constantly assessing how we can manage the demand for appointments. GP surgeries are experiencing a high demand for appointments, which does impact on patients calling the surgery; patients can also contact us online via our website. Without the specific information we cannot comment on the reason there was no nurse available. We do have nurses working daily in our surgery, and the only time we may have no nurses on site would be if there were sickness within the team. If you would like to contact the practice manager, we would be happy to investigate your concerns in detail. Kind Regards Warden Lodge Medical Practice.
