    I used the new total triage system for the first time & have to say it was an excellent service. I completed the online form with my symptoms...within 15 minutes I was contacted by the surgery & offered an appointment with a doctor for later that day. I was very impressed how quickly I was seen & with the system as a whole.

    I completed the necessary online form which for an elderly person is quite time consuming. A couple of hours later I was surprised to get a phone call from the pharmacist. I did feel my medical problem required the attention of a GP. However I made the 15 minute journey down to East Leake. After being seen by 2 pharmacists it was decided to refer me back to a GP. After returning home I then received another phone call offering me a face to face appointment. Later that afternoon I had to make another journey back to East Leake. A very stressful day overall.

    Receptionist was very helpful. Doctor very clear and I was able to collect prescription as advised. Minor problem but dealt with promptly. Felt confident dealing with this issue over the phone. Not sure about anything more complex

    I really like the new GP triage system which I have used twice recently. In both cases I filled in the details on the vhg website ( no passwords required ) and I was contacted by the medical team within an hour - in one case within 15 minutes! In one case I was seen by the GP's assistant the same day and given a hospital appointment for the very same day. All in all a great improvement on my previous experiences of trying to arrange to see a GP.

    I have always had really good experience at this surgery and appropriate responses to my concerns. I think the new system of contacting a GP for advice is excellent, it’s worked really well for me today. Very speedy response time (same day) and offered a same day appointment.

    The new online communication regarding health concerns and filling in the form with my preferred outcome is a great way to let my gp know of my concern without having to wait in a telephone queue or sit at the surgery. It means my issue is being triaged without interrupting my day. I had a response in quick time. This is an intelligent way of accessing the surgery/ gp in 2024. It obviously wouldn't suit all people to communicate with the surgery in this way but is my preferred method. I'm unsure the sit and wait clinic is agreeable with a potential 3 hour wait , I think blood tests are better with optional appointments

Although we encourage our patients to submit their queries online we still offer our telephone option to patients who do not have internet access. We would like to clarify that the sit and wait blood test service is open 9am-12pm and does not mean this is a 3 hour wait, our average wait time is around 5-10 minutes.
