Review titled Very poor
Rated 1 star out of 5

No regular GP . Locums very disinterested, and dismissive, I had a recurring problem and was told a different diagnosis by three different locums with no offer of a hospital consultation. The reception staff are actually very good, one saving grace of this practice. You cannot have access to patches to book appointments etc.

Good morning , i am sorry to hear that you have not felt that we have offered you the service that we expect our patients to receive. Due to annual leave we have had to use GP's that are not our regular ones. I can assure you this feedback will be looked into and discussed at our clinical meeting. If you would like to discuss this matter further i would be happy to arrange a meeting to discuss this.

Very poor practice. Steadily declined over the last 10 years. Never see the same GP as they're all locums, they show very little interest and very poor care, never do a physical examination even when required, just want to get you in and out. That's if you're able to get an appointment. Have to ring constantly from 8am, why they do not have a queue system like other surgeries is beyond me. Some mornings I have rang over 100 times just to get through and be told all appointments gone. Don't have appointments outside the hours of 9-430 so if you work 9-5 mon-friday you have to waste a day's holiday just to possibly get an appointment. Very poor practice. I am so happy I am not there anymore.

Review titled Very poor knowledge

Both me and my daughter have been patients at this surgery, went to see a nurse re the menopause and some solutions, nurse was brilliant went back to see the GP to follow on from the advice of the nurse and the GP advised I was unable to have a hormone only women who have had a hysterectomy could have the hormone replacement and when challenged I was told he was the GP and that the nurse and I basically do not know what we are talking about. Left and went to a new surgery and the GP advised me that my previous GP clearly does not have a clue when it comes to the menopause. My daughter went to see her new GP recently as she also moved with me and was advised by the GP that the previous Dr at Upton Rocks had put her on a dangerous pill and should not have done and changed here pill immediately I would suggest Upton Rocks GP's listen to their patients as we know our bodies and I would suggest that the GP's take more of an interest on women and thier ever changing bodies

Review titled Not Great

The reception staff are lovely and accommodating however they can’t create appointments that aren’t available. It’s constantly ring back at 8am or no prebookables. The rare times I have used the surgery I have waited more than 50 minutes for my actual appointment. Today my 10.10am for my poorly son, I was seen at 11.05am. The doctors are locums so no familiar face.

Review titled Terrible practice

Called every morning for 3 weeks, and struggle to get an appointment. When an appointment finally becomes available, its always a locum doctor, who barely reads previous notes, and does half a job. No examinations are undertaken in regards to heart problems (not even just checking blood pressure/listening to chest) nor checking weight when mentioning worries about weight loss. Will be moving to a new practice ASAP. Would recommend people avoid this place at all costs.
