  1. Review titled Reception Staff were not welcoming

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 October 2024

When I attended the medical centre the reception staff didn't smile on arrival, they came across unwelcoming and blunt and lacking in communication skills when I was talking to them.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are sincerely sorry that you have had a bad experience. We are keen to continue to improve our service and so we would encourage you to follow our complaints procedure rather than this website. It is very difficult for us to investigate and respond to issues raised on NHS Choices in depth because of anonymity and word limits. If your complaint is something that you’d like us to follow up then please feel free to contact me at the practice. Debbie Lambe Practice Operations Manager

  2. Review titled Can get no type of appointment at all.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 May 2024

No appointments available via the online booking system for a month. This has been the case for past month too. Phoned for an 'emergency' appointment - I have a persistent knee problem and can barely walk or go to work. Have not been able to see GP about it at all as they never have any appointments. Fell over in street today because of it - so called as I thought this would count as an emergency. Apparently it's not an emergency and there are no appointments available. Was told to try again next week and they 'might' see me. Will go to A@E and hopefully find a practice that actually sees its patients. Shocking service.

  4. Review titled Dreadful service on a home visit

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Teresa Martin - Posted on 17 July 2023

First home visit for my 30 year partner and next of kin. The second 17 July was less than satisfactory. During Jon's cancer 'journey' I have been his sole carer, with support from family and friends and the brilliant treatment from paramedics, oncology, nursing staff the list is never ending. I have showered him, fed him and helped him with medication. Jon will answer questions giving you what he thinks you want to hear. Never let the truth spoil a good story. And all have understood, we all know someone like that. Obviously this very inexperienced GP needs some retraining - yes I know who the individual is. I have lived Jon's cancer from the start. I started in the lounge with doctor and Jon. When he was asked about how much water he had drunk in the morning he gave an answer he thought she wanted. My response was that wasn't true at which point she told me I could tell my story later and I duly dismissed myself. Possibly her training with geriatic cancer patients and their carers (especially who know the patient) needs revisiting.

  5. Review titled No help whatsoever

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Danielle - Posted on 17 July 2023

The surgery's standards have dropped drastically over the last few months. Called for an appointment, got given an appointment for minor injuries clinic. Turned up, was seen late. No idea or clue, herbal remedy advice given. The person that saw me said that, he would need to liaise with the doctor and the doctor will be in touch that day as he was not qualified. It's 6 days later, still not heard a thing. Complete waste of time, took the day off work- I'm self employed, turned up early for appointment, still waiting for a doctor to call me and tell me what is going on. Needless to say I've registered at another doctors. Sometimes I can't even get an appointment for myself or kids. They've also removed the number system when queueing on the phone, so now if they busy, the call is cut off. No help whatsoever.

  6. Review titled Lovely receptionist

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Janice Goddard - Posted on 31 May 2023

I’ve just visited 2 Rivers medical practice at 18.20 on 31/5 to make an appointment & received really lovely & helpful service from the young lady on duty. I have to say that this has not always been my experience so wanted to feed this back as I was most appreciative of her calm, helpful & pleasant manner.

  7. Review titled Fantastic person-centred service

by Twinsplustwo - Posted on 21 April 2023

Really grateful for the support from the practice for my parents over the past few years, and specifically around my father's recent passing and care for my mother with her unstable heart condition. Given the current demands on Primary Care, Two Rivers have gone above and beyond to provide a supportive, patient-focused (and family-focused) service. Thank you.

  9. Review titled Great doctor

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

My visit with the doctor was very good the problem I have is that he said to make an appointment for a months time but when I tried to do this I was good by receptionist that they can't book in advance and I have to ring on the day to make the appointment. Hearing in mind that I had already rung the surgery and held on for almost an hour & half to make this appointment I think it's very bad that you can't then make an appointment as the doctor requested
