I filled a form to change my GP to this and it has been almost 6 months since I have done this, and yet I'm not on their system. So, if I have to take an appointment now I can't do that unless I'm registered with them which will take up to 2 weeks more.

We are sorry to hear about the delay with your registration and understand how frustrating this situation must be. Typically, registrations are processed within 48 hours. However, there are occasions when there is insufficient information on the registration forms, which prevents NHS England from successfully tracking and matching patient records. This can cause significant delays, particularly when patients are moving from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, outside the UK, or have changed identities or gender. Unfortunately, these delays are beyond the control of the practice. When such issues arise, we make every effort to contact patients to request the additional information needed to proceed. However, if we do not receive a response within one month, we are required to cancel the registration and restart the process if the patient contacts us again. We apologise for the delay in your case and encourage you to contact our Reception Manager directly so we can work to resolve this as quickly as possible.
