Review titled Waiting ages to be seen
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 September 2024
I have attended Trent meadows twice in 2 weeks and the first time I had to wait 50 minutes with no apology. And today I am currently waiting in the surgery and have been waiting 1hour and 2 mins and still not seen a doctor ( it said he was 30 mins behind when I checked in ) . I was told the doctor in question in very thorough well surely they all are ? . Very disappointed.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback I was sorry to have read that you are unhappy with the wait times on your last 2 visits to the surgery. I will raise this with the clinical team and ask reception to ensure they are updating patients with any further delays. We do where possible try to run to the patient appointment times but on occasion may have an emergency or unforeseen circumstance that impacts this, however I apologise that updates were not given regularly on waiting times and appreciate the impact this has on our patients. If you would like to discuss further please do not hesitate to contact Kind Regards Practice Manager

Review titled Awful Staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 August 2024
Can never get through on the phone. I phoned 85 times, gave up in the end and went down. Only to be told, no appointments available you need to phone in the morning or go to A & E. Turns out I had a bad kidney infection which needed antibiotics. My partner went down to the surgery to speak to the Practice Manager and put in a formal complaint. Still waiting on a call from Manager and that's 2 weeks now so we are now taking the matter further. Absolutely awful Surgery, staff are rude and Practice Manager clearly don't have a duty of care to her patients. Avoid at all costs.

Review titled 141 times I called the surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Chris - Posted on 26 July 2024
141 times I called the surgery at Trent Meadows and still couldn't get through. Branston has grown so much and the surgery can't keep up. For a diabetic this can be dangerous. They've teamed up with Stretton but this has made it worse not better. Trying to get an appointment is impossible. I don't go to the doctors anymore unless they contact me for a review. The whole of Branston feels the same.

Review titled Consistently bad
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have spent hours getting through to this surgery to make an appointments over recent months. Recently an appointment was made for a medication review, then I received a text reminder the day before. On the day no one called. Spent another hour getting through for a rude receptionist to tell me my appointment had been moved to 3 days later, no one had tried to contact me and it meant my medication would run out, as I’d already had one appointment cancelled due to sickness. Most (not all) of the receptionists are rude and give inconsistent information and don’t follow the same processes. You can give up talking to one, call back then next day and get a different approach from another. My most recent appointment was today on a separate matter. No one called again!

Review titled Great service from this Practice at a difficult time
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Val George - Posted on 29 February 2024
I had a medication review on Monday Feb 26th. The practitioner was well aware of my history and was extremely patient and responsive to my needs. I didn't feel under pressure of time and her responses were considered and reassuring. Following a change to one of my meds she arranged a check up in two months to ensure that the changes were suiting me. I feel that Trent Meadows is working hard in difficult times to support their patients. Thank you.

Review titled Can't get an answer
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 November 2023
I was requested by Trent Meadows Medical Practise to book an appointment to review the results of a test I didn't know I'd had. I was away for the weekend, on returning I tried at least 10 times to book said appointment only to go through the process of selection 1, 2,3 or 4 to be told by a gruff voiced gentleman after selection every time that the phone queue is full, try again later and then it cuts off. What is the point if you can't get through or hang on until a space in the queue is available. We don't all have time to keep ringing up all day, some of us have jobs to do.

Review titled Worst patient booking system over the telephone
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 November 2023
I have on numerous times attempted to call the surgery from 8am to book a telephone appointment for my young kids or myself. The experience has always been very frustrating and impossible to even reach somebody over the telephone. Urgent appontment needed for 2 year old. Started calling at 8am after listening to a long automated messaged each time and at the end of this the call is cut off due to many calling. No option to stay in queue. Did this whole process for 1 hour and a half, redialing, finally was able to speak to reception at 9:30 to be asked symptoms by receptonist in the hope to get an appointment in the end was told no appointments available and to contact surgery next day at 8am??? Which is a waste of time as did the same thing that morning. Very awful experience. Contacted 111 helpful lady sent an urgent referral to doctors surgery. Did not hear anything all day and near gp closing time at 6pm contacted by doctor at 5:25pm to say If I could bring my soon before closing time??? When I was already at work myself. I have needed an appointment for myself urgently I can never get hold of an appointment even if i start calling at 8am. Surgery has made it impossible to get an appointment. Please change the way patients can book appointments via telephone queue number system was somewhat better and they got rid of that. Now you listen to the practice policy message and at the end the phone is cut off!!!!

Review titled If you can register somewhere else, do it
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 September 2023
Having tried to call for an appointment for over two weeks and been on hold without even managing to speak to someone for a combined total of almost ten hours I have given up and been forced to pay for a private GP appointment. This is the first time I’ve tried to get an appointment for over two years as I knew it would be almost impossible. But to not even be able to get through to a receptionist at all? Absolutely shocking service and yet still accepting new patients according to their website. Good luck anybody trying to get an appointment here.

Almost impossible to secure an appointment and even if you manage to get through the receptionists are incredibly rude. If you can register with another practice do so!

Dear Patient Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are constantly reviewing our appointment system in line with the GP Contract. We have recently upgraded our telephone system which should result in a more efficient service. We have also recruited additional staff to increase the number of call handlers answering the telephones. I am very disappointed and concerned that you have experienced rudeness from our receptionists. This is not the service we would expect you to receive. I will be relaying this feedback to the reception team. However, I am happy to discuss this further if you would like to speak with me directly at the practice. Kind regards Jude Practice Manager

Review titled Not good at listening
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 June 2023
I came to make an appointment face to face with a female doctor That took 10 days with their appointment release programme I particularly checked about face to face and had to say in front of other patients what I needed as it needs to be seen Appointment 2 weeks later One of 4 pre bookable face to face Arrive and get told it’s a telephone I know I told the woman what it was for In fact it was the same one who told me I had booked a telephone call What a tale They have obviously changed it for their convenience Because they do not listen to or care about their patients I call the Branston surgery the mole hill because in Covid they vanished underground And the visible bits have a negative effect on your life (surgery staff)
