I have tried for over a week to get an appointment just to talk to a doctor about a on going problem and medication I’m on. The online booking is a complete waste of time. Put in all the symptoms if they are there, when you get to the end it says ring the surgery to make an appointment. I have in my telephone log chalked up 247 call to the surgery from 8am -8.30 and usual story , no appointments. I admit it’s not an urgent problem but it still needs to be sorted. I sincerely hope the people that manage to get an appointment turn up for them . If not the should pay a fee before they can make another. It’s not the receptionist fault but bad management and you should consider a public meeting and face your patients air out problems instead of excepting your inadequate. Everyone been brain washed into saying it’s due to covid. Covid is almost three years behind us and you found that blaming covid is a quick fix to nothing. Why are you asking us for feedback and asking if we would recommend family or friends to your surgery when you can’t cope with what you got, ridiculous. Please take on board what people are telling you. Hold a public meeting and don’t just leave your reception to talk the flack for your never ending incompetence of your appointment system.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. The surgery implemented a new phone system in May 2023 as we recognised the difficulties in getting through on the phone. I hope this improves your experience of making an appointment. If you would like to speak to a manager please ask at reception to talk this through. the doctors are fine most of them most of the time its the reception side of it some are rude hard to get through on the phone and get an appointment clearly in need of management overhaul.

Thank you for your message. I am sorry we have not met your needs. The practice has a new telephone service which allows patient call back. We hope this improves access for patients.
