    It was pleasantly surprising to get an appointment only 90mins after calling. The dr was very thorough

    Tried twice to get ampts but best they could do was 7am phone calls . They received a letter from my consultant requesting a prescription for me after 3 weeks l asked about it and was told by pharmacist that the letter had been received but filed by mistake without circulating. They then refused to offer the prescription as it was an amber rating ( not red ). All very pedantic and unsympathetic. It also appears they have no phlebotomist so for blood tests you have to collect a form from surgery then visit a local hospital. Worst experience ever

    called the surgery today re. a query sbout my flu jab. The receptionist was extremely helpful but what impressed me the most was her excellent manner.

    Having realised I didn’t have enough medication for my imminent holiday (next day), the surgery dealt with my repeat request swiftly. The prescription was sent to my local pharmacy and collected within 8 hours.

    I am a 70 year old asthmatic. I asked about how I go about getting my next COVID booster. A receptionist today told me that the surgery didn't have anything to do with that and she had no idea. They then went on to tell me that she would never have a COVID jab and didn't think that others should. I'm pretty sure that this is the opposite of what the NHS recommends and could be somewhat confusing for some elderly patients. Do the reception staff need additional training?

    Thank you for your feedback. Following your message I have discussed this with the staff member involved. I`m sorry that you feel that she didn`t deal with your query to your satisfaction but it appears she did try to explain that the Covid vaccinations are available via 119 as NHS England prefer to use a centralised booking system, which has been in place now for several years. In respect of the personal comment whilst we prefer staff to not deal with hypothetical situations, she did explain that she answered your question "What would you do if it was your mum?" To which her reply was "My mum wouldn't have it but that's personal preference" and then directed you to 119. This will be discussed with all our reception team to ensure we give appropriate information. The current information for Covid Vaccinations for this autumn/ winter is that booking details will be available in September but the date is yet to be confirmed.
