  1. Review titled Prompt services

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Recently moved into this area. Been to a practice and the registration process takes ages. Had to email the manager to speed up the process. Then changed my mind to avoid all hassles. Filled up an online registration form @ Wapping Group. Prompt response. I was able to get an appointment on the same day. I was able to discuss my concerns and worries and staff were able to support this and help come to a conclusion. Polite staffs.

Due to work pressure, completely forgot about the blood test. Suddenly received a call asking about the blood test appointment. I requested them to allow me to come later in the afternoon. He accepted. Blood tests done and got all medications on time. Thanks to the team for looking after me.

  3. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have recently moved to this GP after moving homes and during the move I was awaiting confirmation for my MRI appointment. It took 3 weeks for them to send my letter to the correct address after being informed several times of my change of address. Following my appointment I had to wait a further 3 months to get any sort of follow up from any doctor at the GP, as every time I called to ask about my results they reluctantly helped and told me to wait for a phone call. When I finally managed to get a telephone appointment with a doctor, they informed me that most likely my previous GP did not send over the results, which they should have followed up as again, I have informed them multiple times of my change of address. Once I finally got a doctor to follow up these results, the reception team have been utterly useless with contacting the hospital my MRI was done at. After several emails explaining my whole situation with full details, they could not even figure out how to contact the hospital and requested for ME to provide contact details, regardless of the fact that this information is readily accessible for even the general public. Out of frustration I had to call the GP directly to resolve this issue promptly as clearly it cannot be done via email even when my own responses have been prompt. After being on hold for over 35 minutes, it took a total of 4 times for the receptionist to understand what I was trying to resolve even though I explained it exactly the same way each time. Clearly these receptionists do not listen clearly at what information patients are providing them, which is a massive issue as miscommunication could be so harmful for the patient as there might be life threatening health problems they are dealing with but are unaware of because of this. After trying to explain the severity of their lack of communication and the consequences of these actions, the receptionist seemed so unempathetic. Of course, they are not doctors and may not have all the information needed, however if they are the point of communication between patients and doctors, it is imperative that they follow up queries, listen carefully to the patient as well as communicate clearly between themselves as well as other NHS practices if applicable to the situation. I find it appalling that it has taken 3 months to prompt a follow up on my results, and not even to book a consultation.

  4. Review titled Rude customer service receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionist at the wapping gp are extremely rude all of them they treat the patients very poorly and take more than an hour to answer calls, always making patients wait for no reason, we have to wait in the cue for ages to inform them about the arrival for the appointments and doctors thinking we arrived late, they’re always discussing about other patients very loud that others can hear it even the confidential details, using their personal phones while patients waiting in the cue or even outside the door they take long to open even if you ring the door bell 10 times, the worst receptionist ever, they have to hire new people and get them old ones out, doctors are good but some are quite stingy when it comes to prescribing medication especially for children even if you go with a major illness all they say if give them calpol but something won’t be cured by just giving paracetamol especially chest infection and diarrhoea for more than two weeks or more, please please improve the service,

  6. Review titled Unfair treatment by staff in reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 November 2022

I have been on several GP surgeries but the receptionist in this surgery is just unacceptable. I went to the surgery for my telephone appointment explaining properly that I think my condition was best to be seen face to face but the receptionist just shut me off and asked me to go off despite already being there - only for the doctor to call me and say it is better to see my condition at the surgery. The receptionist was even speaking in their language that I can't understand with the others while laughing but I can understand one word which is related to my condition before I went out. It was very rude of them. I have even requested for my test result that was already available as explained by the GP and asked me to go to reception for the test result but the receptionist told me it will take 14 days for her to process. But then while I was there they were all just chatting with the other receptionists and doesn't seem busy on Friday afternoon. Another patient came in and she greeted politely and happily. I felt I was being unfairly treated without even doing any harm to them. It is not really good to be treated like this.

  7. Review titled Doctors are unsympathetic!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Leigh - Posted on 11 January 2023

Thank you for sending me the patient survey for the Wapping Group Practice. I found this General Practitioner's doctors are unsympathetic, they are so rush during the appointment and you feel like they are intimidating you. They hardly make any referral or issuing prescription. When I asked the doctor for medical letter, I paid the money at the receptionist but when open the letter there was only my details, they have written any of past or present medical history. Waste of money and receptionist are also very rude all the time, they have no manners!

e-services do not work, no one to pick up the phone after waiting for 25 mins (during normal working hours: Friday @ 12.21). Totally unacceptable. Not sure what I can do to get help.. Shall go directly to A&E or private?
