I have ongoing health problems and my GP has been very helpful and supportive. The continuity of care has made it less stressful as he knows my case so I don’t have to explain the background to my health problems every time I have an appointment. I find the telephone appointments useful so I don’t need to go the surgery every time I need to speak to my GP.

Dear Anon, thank you for your review we are working really hard to get this sort of continuity. We have recruited new doctors and our growing team means we can offer more appointments with your registered GP. We completely agree this makes all the difference and, as evidence shows, gives patients better care and health outcomes. It is not always possible but patients can always ask to see their GP. If there is an urgent issue you will be offered something on the day which might not be with your GP but even then we try to utilise GP teams to ensure it is someone you have seen before or who works closely with your doctor. Patients always have the choice to be seen in person, by telephone or also as a virtual consultation by email or text. Again, your GP team will guide you to a more appropriate type of appointment where it is necessary. I.e we can’t do examinations over the phone so sometimes face to face is required. Took my 93 year old mum to see her GP on Tuesday, he was kind, patient, took time explaining possible new medication for mum in easy to understand language and spoke direct to her not me.

The Wallhouse is the best practice for kids. They are kind, informative and put the child first at all times. I have been extremely impressed with their level of attention and thoroughness. I attended the surgery recently with my son who had a bad cough. The GP immediately put him at ease with his excellent bedside manner and discussed the options for care.

I had a very positive experience this morning with my GP who was very thorough and systematic as we discussed two consultant letters and priority next steps. He explained his thought process and was supportive and encouraging. His ability to see the interconnecting systems is very helpful in addressing the root causes of disparate symptoms. Thank you very much for a great consultation.

This review is not about my doctor but lack of communication regarding appointments. I had an INR appointment today 22/5/24 when my call this afternoon was cancelled without my knowledge. This is bad manners and inefficiency on Admins part. My name is David Bridgman, I am 80 years of age and deserve to be treated with consideration. I realise how busy the Surgery becomes, but please don't ignore your patients. This decision to cancel my appointment was done yesterday, so why was I not informed please? Then I would not have had to do my INR.
