Review titled Worst Practice I have ever been with
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jay - Posted on 29 July 2024
They used to be good. I used to get appointments same-day or be able to book a couple of days in advance. Failing that, there was always the walk-in clinic. This practice has single handedly made it impossible to get NHS care. You need an appointment? Well, you can only call and get one same day. If there aren't any? Well, you best keep calling **daily**. I was asked by my Therapist to seek a mental-health follow-up. Nothing critical, so could wait a few weeks for an appointment. I called and was told "no, you will have to call on the day of the appointment and we don't have any today." This means you cannot try and get any routine check-ups booked or anything of the sort because they are just not interested. And now, to make it worse, even if you need immediate care, you cannot use their walk-in service Monday to Friday because you are a registered patient. I **rarely* see my GP. And I mean **rarely**. So they are essentially taking the cash and refusing to provide a service. I will be moving practices ASAP. Absolute joke.

Review titled Terrible Gp surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 March 2024
This gp service is disgraceful, I have been on the phone since 8am trying to get through it is now 9:40am and I am on my 3rd attempt at trying to get through after being cut off twice after over an hour of trying to get through, I have been number 3 in the queue for half an hour now and its ridiculous. I know if & when I finally get through now there will be no appointments left. This problem really needs to be fixed as it's very frustrating and a poorly run service.

Phoned walking centre. Spent 45 minutes waiting on the phone just to be cut off once I got down to 2. Tried again and got cut off when I got down to 3 tried third time and spent another 30 minutes plus and then got got up again is this your standard policy?

Review titled The most appalling service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 March 2024
I have been trying to get through since 8am for an appointment. I reached 8th in the queue and then was cut off. I called again and finally reached 1st in the queue to then get cut off again. I have never ever seen or experienced such appalling service in my life. How can the surgery think it's acceptable to cut people off? We are calling due to illness or in a situation of distress and to be cut off is below the level of service anyone should expect. After 2.5 hours I am now in the queue again and told I am 7th in the queue. Pathetic.

Review titled Very poor, unprofessional, not answering calls
Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely pathetic service, can a Luton gp be something of a standard...unfortunately no. After over 275 min 28 sec spent today waiting in a queue on the automated call centre that nobody answers I ended up, as expected after the town centre gp, with no appointment. The phone queue moves very slowely down if by any chance you reach being nu⁶mber two or one in a queue waiting in the same position for several minutes ofcurse the phone gets automatically disconnected and you repeat the same pattern. I find it very unprofessional not to set an automated message on a phone line that the gp does not offer any appointments today. There is not even an afternoon round to book an appointment and ofcurse you will not even be informed about it unless you walk there and leave the reception window with nothing. Waste of tax payers' money! Absolutely useless for patients.

Review titled Great Care of a very elderly patient.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 February 2023
I emailed the surgery about my elderly Auntie at 11pm on Thursday night (2.2.23). The surgery responded at 10:15am today (Friday 3.2.23). They said a Doctor would ring my Aunt early afternoon. The Doctor did ring her and then took the time and trouble to ring me to explain the situation and treatment! The prescription was sent to the pharmacy and the antibiotics were started today! The surgery were very responsive and the Doctor was really lovely with my elderly Aunt. Thank You, thank you very much.
