    The head nurse at Riverside Practice was so gentle and professional. She made me feel comfortable and at ease during my cervical smear test. Thank you. The best experience I've had.

It is reassuring to hear that you were made to feel comfortable and at ease when having your smear test and that the nurse was professional and gentle.     I was asked to collect my own medication from the pharmacy. I was told to ring the day before, to check it was ready for my appointment the following day at 9.45am (the nurse, as I understood it, would have sent in the prescription). I phoned the pharmacy who said that they did not have it in stock, ((where was the notification of this prescription which they were supposed to have received from the nurse from my previous visit?) they would order it and it would be available from lunchtime - obviously too late for my appointment. I rang the doctor’s surgery to explain and ask if my appointment could be later; they asked if I could go to another pharmacy. I finally obtained the medication at the fourth pharmacy (pharmacy number two gave me the actual prescription). Why, at sixty eight, am I trekking all the way into Hackney for my medication? In the past the surgery always had the medication ready for you. I am certainly not impressed.

    Dear orioner73 Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you had difficulty obtaining your medication for your appointment with the pratcice nurse. I am not sure if this was for a vaccination, but the practice does not keep patient medicines, but insted we prescribe these and send digitally to your named pharmacy to collect. This normally happens within one working day of seeing the nurse so the pharmacy has enough time to order the medicine if needed. I am sorry if this did not happen in your case and the inconvenience it caused you and as a result of your feedback we have discussed this at our latest pratice meeting. We will now as well as advising patients at their appointment send a text message exlaining the process in writing so that patients are reminded to order their medication well in advance of their nurse appointment in order to avoid any delays in obtaining this.   3. Review titled Didn’t succeed in talking to doctor

    I was booked in for a follow up phone call with a gp today but was not able to answer the call at the time it was made due to work. When I called back I was told that it was too late for today and that it’s also impossible for me to book in a new call at a time when I’ll actually be able to answer the phone - I have to call on the day. I have a very demanding job with very short windows where I’m able to take a call, so it would be really useful to have the option to just schedule in a call or even a text ahead of time.

    Dear Booop Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you had difficulty speaking to the doctor for your follow up. Normally we do try and call a second time if unable to get through and the reception staff do inform the doctor if a patient has called back. I am sorry if this did not happen in your case. We do encourage patients to use our website as below, to contact the practice and book an appointment online. This also allows you to give your most available times to be contacted and preferred method of being seen or contacted. We have discussed your feedback at our latest practice meeting and the reception staff will be more mindful of asking patients when they can be called when booking a telephone appointment and also informing the doctor of the patient's availability if the patient misses their telephone appointment.     I had an appointment booked at 9am for a smear test, I was seen promptly and treated with respect. The test was done quickly and I was given a timeframe to when to expect the results.

    The whole team were very supportive and the service was efficient. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a surgery that shows care and attention to it’s patients. Excellent customer service from all staff, the nurse and doctor I saw were outstanding

    When I called for an appointment, the young man who answered was so calm & helpful. When the phone was cut off, I dreaded the reconnection wait, but no sooner had I redialled the surgery number than this young man called me back. I was so delighted he’d done this… and I had an appointment face to face that same morning. Excellent service thank you.

    I visited the surgery to pick up a blood test form and asked to book my flu appointment. Reception said they could fit me in there and then, which I was very happy with.

    I am glad that you have had you annual flu jab to protect your health. To help patients we have been where possible offering this when attending the surgery as a walk in as well as by appointment

    I have a problem that needed them to take blood. The nurse was very nice, making me feel at ease. The receptionist texted me beforehand reminding me of my appointment. This surgery runs very professionally. Well done !

    I noticed my urine was brown in colour. I also had pain in both sides of my back. I emailed the surgery. I received a call from my GP to discuss my symptoms. He asked me to come into the surgery to provide a urine sample. This was tested and the following day I received another call to tell me the test didn’t show anything unusual. I was asked if my symptoms continued. As they did I was advised to provide another sample in a week which would again be tested.

    I'm so unhappy because this is the second time now I call up two days before my pills run out and when they turn up I don't have all my pills and i need them all plus for the second time now my pills don't turn up till 8.30pm and I need them for the morning.

    I am sorry to hear about your difficulty ordering your medication. Some medications need monitoring checks to be done before they can be safely prescribed so in order to avoid any delays in receiving your medication we advise ordering well in advance by 7 days. Examples include contraception, drugs requiring blood monitoring and some psychiatric medications.
