Review titled A lesson for the rest
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ray Winfield - Posted on 25 October 2024
I recently called the practice to report my old leg ulcer had flared up again and was smelly, indicating a possible infection. I was hoping for an appointment within 48 hours, but was offered one around 5 hours. Treatment with one of your great nurses, compression bandage, swab & photos. Another appointment next week. Now I ask you, could you get a better service from a private practice? I don't think so. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If that's not enough, I made a bad miscalculation of my repeat prescription and found myself with only one day left, on Thursday and the weekend approaching. I popped into the practice, apologies for my stupidity and a short note with the repeat form, asking for at least the important tablets to cover me for the weekend. A lovely receptionist gave me a smile and assured me that they would do their best. Later that day I received a text message saying my emergency prescription was at Cohen's Pharmacy awaiting me. How can anyone fault the service you provide? Thanks to everyone who makes our lives that much better.

Review titled Dedicated Professional

When one enters this friendly surgery, it is immediately apparent that this is indeed a well run and friendly place to be. I took my wife for what I thought was a medical check up for dementia. She was hesitant and anxious. However, as soon as she saw the friendly pharmacist she was thrilled to bits. This was our second meeting. What an extraordinary and dedicated member of your team. Empathy was in abundance. So too was attention to detail. I rate her as outstanding. I cannot extoll her many virtues enough. We went in with trepidation. We left feeling loved. what better accolade could beat this feeling. A credit to your selection team for giving patients such a unique and outstanding pharmacist. Highly impressed.

This surgery is just shockingly not helpful. I have been trying to get an appointment for two weeks now. Phone calls, visits to their reception, absolutely no luck. Called regularly at exactly 8.30 am, when the phone lines are open, and you are already 18th on the queue. On one occasion I was 45th in the queue. Waiting for your turn just to be told that there are no appointments available left.

Dear Patient Thank you for your comments. It is always dissapointing to receive negative comments. However, rest assured we use all comments, both positive and negative, to inform our discussions and provisions of patient services. I am sorry to hear you have struggled to get an appointment. If you would like to contact us directly, I would be happy to discuss your experience and review our call recordings with you. In common with the rest of General Practice, demand for our services is exceptionally high. We do triage and signpost appropriately and we will always try to advise and guide patients on their first contact. I look forward to hearing from you. E Yeo Operations Manager

A practice that does not do online appointment bookings and you have to ring at 8:30am if you need an appointment, I have been trying for the past 2 weeks to try and get an appoinment and i ring everyday bang on 8:30am and i keep getting placed 28+ in this que and by the time i actually get to speak to someone (30+ mins later btw) all the appointments are gone. How do you expect to help people when you force them to wait in a que everyday. At least do something about online appointment making.

Dear Patient Thank you for your comments. It is always dissapointing to receive negative comments, however rest assured we take all comments, both positive and negative, and use them to inform our decision making and the provision of patient services. Earlier in the year, we introduced a new telephone system which allows patients to request a call back without losing their place in the queue and I wonder whether you have used this service? In common with the rest of General Practice, demand for our services is exceptionally high. We do triage and signpost appropriately and we will always try to advise and guide patients on their first contact. As you have posted anonymously it is difficult for us to respond to you personally. However, if you would like to contact us we will do our best to provide appropriate advice. E Yeo Operations Manager

Review titled Exemplary Pharmacist
Rated 5 stars out of 5

The Medicine review carried out by the practices full time pharmacist was extraordinary in many ways. She spent a full twenty four minutes in giving nothing but her very best advice on my list of medical requirements. Highly sagacious and with a pleasant and professional manner. She is a huge asset to this outstanding medical practice. Highly recommend this exceptionally efficient team.

Cannot get an appointment to see any doctors. Cannot get any help for 5 symptoms of diabetes or Thyroid symptoms. I rang two days ago and was told by reception that I would have to wait until April. Disgusted. Please don't bother joining this surgery.

Absolutely disgusted with this practice. I’ve only been here a few weeks and wish I could leave. I have severe mental health problems and under a psychiatrist and the GP has decided to mess around with my medication despite the psychiatrist wanting my medication prescribed as a repeat prescription. Receptionist did not explain their produce and just kept saying the same thing! I got annoyed, which I shouldn’t have, but that’s how bad they are. Do not waste your time with them. Awful practice and appalling staff.

Review titled Disappointing Telephone Appointment Service

I called at 8.30am on the dot. Got put in the queue and was pleased that I was no 19. I was really pleased as 30 mins later I was no 1 then I got disconnected and had to call back to be placed in the queue at no 29 , I waited in the queue until I eventually got down to no 2 by this time I had been on the phone for 65 mins, I had to hang up and go to work. This happens so regularly I am at my wit's end I haven't been able to see a Dr about my disability and current mental health.

Review titled Don't do face to face appointments any more
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Suzanne Knight - Posted on 27 March 2023
On the phone for 45 minutes. Finally get through. Ask for a routine doctors appointment. Not urgent, just some time this year. Told that the surgery don't do face to face appointments any more. You have to ring on the day you want one. I explained its not urgent. I can't spend 45 minutes on the phone every day trying to get an appointment. I work full time. Its ridiculous not to be able to book a face to face appointment for the future. She said she can only book telephone call backs. How can I be examined over a telephone? Absolutely ridiculous. I have a history of cancer, feel unwell and need to see a doctor. I am so upset
